Greater than one weekThis USB lasted me a couple of years until it died out. It worked though it wasnt the fastest. It became slower and slower with use (as a regular flash memory), but it worked well until then. As this USB is made of plastic, its more vulnerable to drops than other counterparts with better materials.

> 3 dayGood for the money. Basically use these for music. My kids know the value of all the music I have and grown up with. I may be old, but I saw all the good bands !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

> 3 dayThis USB drive receives the lowest star I can give it for its inability to act like a USB 3.0 drive. The performance I have experienced with this drive is on par with the high end of USB 2.0 drives. I should have done my research before purchasing because it seems that many folks have had the same problem with this drive. I should be clear. I tested the performance of this drive using a laptop with USB 3.0 controller that had the most up to date drivers and used CrystalDiskMark 3.0.3 for the test. My performance numbers are as follows. All 5 1000MB I:62% (19/30GB) Read [MB/s] Write [MB/s] Seq 97.57 41.27 512K 89.2 4.986 4K 5.938 .044 4KQD32 6.616 .052 Compared to most other USB 3.0 drives and what the specs of the standard are supposed to support, these are awful numbers. I didnt get a random junk drive either as I have read much from other testers on the horrible performance of this drive. I do not recommend this drive to anyone. For this kind of performance save your money and get a USB 2.0 drive. For USB 3.0 performance go with a more expensive alternative.

> 3 dayI bought 2 of these and they both are the same speeds. The drive was formatted as Fat32. The write speed was 17mb. FAT32 works on anything, but only allows 4G size files at a time. I need to transfer files larger than that so I formatted it to EXFAT 64k cluster size. The speed now increased to 27.5MB steady. The read speed is 40MB steady. The speeds are nothing out of this world, but it is 7x faster than any stick I got thats just 2.0. So I am happy. Remember NTFS format does journaling and will lower the life of the drive. However, using NTFS you will retain encryption on the fly if you use Windows EFS to encrypt files. It would be much easier and faster if you was on the go and deal with lots of EFS encrypted User files. Every format has its ups and downs. Oh and windows will not format the 32GB back to FAT32. To do that you convert it instead. You do it in the CLI running cmd.exe To convert back to FAT32 you check the drive letter. In my case the drive is F: You type... CONVERT F: /FS:FAT32 Hope that helps! TTFN

> 3 dayThis drive perform well if it format with FAT or Linux EXT4 For some reason it is very slow when it formatted with Mac OS extended format. It will take a long time to mount/remount or access files and transfer rate is down to 1/4 of speed.

> 3 dayAt this price, you could NOT do better. Kingston is a solid name brand, and these USB 3.1, 32GB thumb drives are an exceptional value!
