Decided to try refurbished because of the cost. Item came in, but I was busy and did not install until a few weeks later. Plugged in and initiated OK. No problem so far. Im using to store mp4 videos for the most part. I transfered 6 files about 9 to 20 gb each. Then it died. I tried to fix but card has bad sections and will not re-initlize. Because I took so long on the install now I cannot return it. This is one item I should have never bought refurbished! 60 dollar lesson learned...

Must use fast format!

This SSD was perfect for our PC Lab project were currently starting. The Kingston name itself, is a reassurance that youre not only getting quality, but also reliability. Great price (bought several, plan to buy more). Its well worth it!

Works as it should, fast! The only problem is finding the cloning software thus 4 stars for install (download instructions not the best) but it works. Samsung software is great but 2 times the price Ill live with the inconvenience. Ive installed five in the last two years with no problems.

Best upgrade you can make to an older PC.

I can’t believe the difference in speed performance my desktop now has. I hardly ever leave reviews, but wow. This made my computer new again. A quick YouTube video on how to install this was all I used. Also, downloaded Windows 10 zip file from the Microsoft site. After it downloaded was prompted where to instal, which was USB in this case. Just a few steps installing said file into an empty USB with at least 8GB.
