> 3 dayIve been a fan of Klipsch since I got my R-15Ms a few years ago and I was excited to upgrade to the RP-500Ms. The RP-500Ms did not disappoint at all! The sound out of these speakers really packed a punch and the finish fit in great with the rest of my music room!

> 3 dayGreat monitors in my studio. Mid and Highs sing! Bass, its a 5 1/4 driver, you didnt get these to shake the walls. A subwoofer would make this pair nearly perfect.

> 3 dayIm writing this review about a day after receiving my delivery, and the price is already about $150 more than I paid. So, I can only review this speakers value according to what I paid. I think its a 5 star value in the $350 range. Sounds great, and way more sound possible than my apartment can handle, but I expect to keep them forever. There is a nice printed manual included, but seems geared more toward the Reference Premiere series as a whole, and not the specific RP-500M itself. Little things matter, like the angled bevels on the front make the speaker look off kilter with respect to almost anything that is level in your home, at almost any viewing angle. They are bookshelf speakers, and your bookshelf is probably level. It doesnt bother me, but the bevels dont serve any functional purpose, so I question what was the point of that design choice. Finally, I think a speaker selling for close to $500 now could be manufactured profitably somewhere other than China. I know Klipsch makes their best speakers in the U.S., and the next time around that will weigh heavily in my decision. Crazy idea: Try using some real wood! I think its silly comparing the quality of fake wood on all the different speakers. Klipsch should pay attention.

> 3 dayThe RP-500Ms are Klipschs newest bookshelf refreshes. These are in between the smaller RP-400Ms and the bigger RP-600Ms. These speakers are for someone who wants great sounding speakers but dont want to pay an extra $100 for the RP-600Ms. These are definitely a step up in size and sound from the standard Reference series which have downgraded a bit from a few years ago. These are also bigger and stronger than the smaller RP-400Ms. Honestly, I thought these would be smaller and am extremely happy with my purchase as the RP-600Ms would be too big for my setup. I currently have these paired with a Denon AVR-X1400H and they sound incredible. For about $300, they are probably the most pleasing looking speakers with great sound. While there are some debates as to whether they provide the best sound, it comes down to you personally and I dont regret my purchase at all. Others might recommend some other speakers but for the price point, these speakers are just too good! The black finish in the front and the ebony sides look absolutely incredible. These are the best looking and probably best sounding speakers at this price. The sound quality is definitely an upgrade over a soundbar or tv speakers. While tvs and cheap headphones or soundbars deliver basic sound, these deliver the best sound. No more screeching or audio anomalies caused by trash speakers. If you want to step up from tv speakers or even the basic Klipsch Reference series, I really recommend these.

Greater than one weekHard to imagine better sound at a lower cost. These RP-500s are paired with a 504C. The 504C is more efficient, 97dbs rather than 93dbs per watt on the RP500s. After compensating for output they pair nicely. My center adds full range lows that are not as strong on the 500s. That being said, for their size/price these are over achieving speakers that are very musical, dynamic and easy to listen to. I recommend.

> 3 dayZero PROPER mounting options these are not meant for a front speaker. If your using them as such youre just poor these are dinky rear speakers at best but give you no PROPER way to mount. The keyhole puts them flat on the wall blocking rear port. These need to be sealed or front ported as the MASSIVE rear flared port disables all proper home theater mounting options and no. Amazons basic 15 degree mounts just cause sound to go over your head. Very disappointed in the cabinet design in these rendering them useless in many applications Update. These speakers are now in the garbage where they belong. Klipsch needs to learn how to save weight on surround speakers if they CANT OFFER PROPER MOUNTING OPTIONS. The 1/4thread at the bottom cant support the weight of these angled down. I tried to love them but klipsch has let me down. My old s20 synergy were miles better then these. Lighter better surround effects. No they werent as sensitive but nothing adjusting the surround levels a few dB didnt fix. Ive been a loyal klipsch fan for over 20 years. The 500m and 600m done me in. Ill be switching to SVS for a proper home theater

> 3 dayI purchased the RP500Ms to run on my Sonos Amp along with a Dayton Audio 10 Sub. This system sounds good in my 12x15 den. I really like the speakers.......They sound great when pushed to a reasonably high level but they also sound good a fairly low levels which is where I spend 50% + of my time. I have been using for roughly 2 months.
