I like the kobo products but I wanted to upgrade to audio also so I chatted before I bought was told I could use my own audiobooks turned out that is not true so now I have wasted 120 I already had a kobo reader. They need to train employees better thats why I check before I bought

My primary source of books uses Adobe DRM and requires Adobe Digital Editions. This reader is advertised as one supporting Adobe Digital Editions/DRM, but it does not. There is functionality and screens for it, but they dont work. Search online, and you will see plenty of posts concluding this. Its a bummer because the device overall is pretty good, but I need to be able to open my books to be useful to me. The only other option is to use third-party software to remove DRM, but at that point, you could use a Kindle instead when you buy books from Amazon. I was very hopeful for this product, but I am very disappointed. Hopefully, kobo can fix this issue soon.

I enjoy reading again. My old eReader was getting old, and not functioning the way it used to. I got this one to replace it, and I can enjoy reading again. The backlight adjusting warmth by time of day is a nice touch. The words on the page are crisp and clear, the touch is responsive. Its great.

The Kobo reader can render ePubs where Kindle readers do not or can not. That was Amazons decision. It was a deal breaker for me. The Kobo Clara 2e is everything I expected and more. I dont think anyone can go wrong with this ereadrer for the price. The only thing that I dont like is the price of eBooks on the Kobo store. they are considerably more expensive. I dont know why. So, I dont use the Kobo store.

Have had the KOBO Clara HD for a few years. its a wonderful reader. But the 2e is the HD Plus. Its waterproof, has x2 the storage, and can do audiobooks.

A step up from my last reader of 3 years ago. Faster processor so more responsive however battery life is less so needs charging more often

First, device is unexpectedly small but, this is not the problem as it is designed to be portable. Ive purchased device with the intent to read PDF books I already own, many are not available to purchase in electronic version due to the age. However, the eReader does not have the typical Acrobat Reader text reflow feature to rearrange text in a reading mode therefore you would have to zoom in, scroll side to side, and up-down to be able to read it. I wanted to like this eReader but it is not for me, or the ones would buy this with the intention of reading their own PDF books. I will go back to my iPad mini but unfortunately sun glare makes it almost impossible to read in the daytime outdoors.

Very happy with the Clara 2E. I love how easily it fitls into a coat pocket and is smaller and lighter than a lot of paperbacks. I do wish the users guide/manual were better organized. As it is, there is a bit of a learning curve that requires a fair amount of wandering through the topics trying to find an answer. Had I have know how nice they are to use, I would have purchased one a long time ago. Update: Took a bit to figure out some stuff, but all in all, Im loving it more and more. I dont know if it is there or not, but I wish there was some sort of lock that would only allow you to turn pages, so that if your finger or thumb slipped and didnt do some thing you did not want. Oh, by the way, customer support is fantstic for helping dolts like me with silly questions.
