Took some time getting use to but I love reading on the device. It’s perfect with my kobo plus subscription

I like the size and all this book reader have to offer. It was a gift for my brother and he love it!!!

For decades I truly didnt think I would take to an e-reader. I liked the look and feel of physical books so much! I finally decided to take a chance and give the Kobo Clara 2e a try a few months ago and am surprised how much I love it - and how much MORE I am reading now. Its slim, lightweight, has amazing battery life (lasts for a couple of weeks on a charge generally), and the screen is responsive and enjoyable to read from. I am a huge fan of the varied options for brightness and the ability to change the warmth of the screen. I also LOVE that this has dark mode - unless its a really bright day and I have it outside, I often prefer reading in dark mode as I find it easier to read. Its great for use in different positions and is far easier than trying to juggle a flashlight and page-turning of a regular book if you want to read in bed at night without disturbing your spouse. Its also nice for trying to break the habit of wasting time on social media - Ive been trying to reach for this and read a few pages here and there rather than scrolling on Instagram on my phone.

Previous to buying the reader I downloaded the Kobo App, successfully purchased a book and could open it. I was saving the reading experience for my reader. Upon attempting to open the book via the reader there was an Oops message indicating the book could not be opened. Kobo customer customer service advised me there was a known issue and would get back to me when resolved. That was a week ago. No update. Two more weeks and I will have no choice but to return the reader, cancel my Kobo account and demand refund of my book purchase price. Update: After about a days worth of my time, yet another reset has solved the problem and the reader works. For now

As with every Kobo weve owned, this one is a solid device. Ive got it loaded down with a few epub files and signed it in to our library accounts. Its a lot smaller than I was expecting, but Im coming from an 8 inch device. Amazing the difference two inches makes when it comes to an ereader. No complaints. I imagine itll last throughout college for my son, then be passed to little brother like his old Kobo is.
