Kraus KAG-1BG Dishwasher Air Gap, Brushed Gold

We updated our kitchen with a nice stainless steel sink. Per code we needed to add an air gap. Originally we purchased a Westbrass D200-1-20 because if good reviews but it was terrible quality so we are replacing it. This Kraus air gap is beautifully made and it is obvious from the minute we opened the box how great the quality is. It sits flush with no unsightly plastic or rubber bits hanging out. It has a top and bottom gasket. The plastic parts are much more rigid than the PVC used in some of these. Also the threaded parts had a very nice snug fit. Very nice product!

Looks nice seems sturdy enough. Love the no show smudge. The flat top is attractive. I won’t be-able to give a complete review until this gets installed in our new remodel

drilled the hole but the plastic bit has too short and wont stick out from the hole I have standard butcher block countertops from the Home Depot

This replaces a Kohler air gap. The fit is much better. The other was loose around the plastic connector tubing. This same with foam washer which passed the water leak test. Very happy with the finish. Look and quality of this piece. Haven’t heard of this brand and was hesitant. Good purchase.

I noticed most of the reviews on here are for the soap pump, so I’m happy to provide insight on the air gap. Even though it took over a week to arrive, it’s here and I love it. It’s actual metal, stainless steel, that matches my faucet perfectly. The flat top detail is gorgeous and unlike any of the other ones I saw when researching them. I also love how this air gap cover has threads on the inside, so it actually screws onto the air gap pipe underneath, instead of just snapping on top of it. I would have liked the option to order just the cover and not the whole piece, but it gave us the opportunity to swap out our old air gap for a new, much cleaner one. Hands down would recommend this air gap. I can’t speak on the soap pump since I don’t have one.

Looks great. Love the sleek contemporary look. While it’s only been a few months, so far it’s handling well against the semi-hard water. To be clear, I was concerned that it might turn green or simply wear easily because of the water, but I haven’t noticed that yet.

Easy to install, beautiful to look at, does the job its supposed to. 100% recommend.

Its not that this item is very expensive in the first place but the cheaper versions at half the price are just crap. Spend a few more bucks, you will thank yourself later.
