These pin plugs fit great and they stain good too. The paint grade plugs dont fit kreg holes at all. Get these for paint or stain. Also I used filler for kreg holes and that worked out too.

I use a ton of these and did a lot of research to make sure I would have consistent fitting. Tried another brand ONCE and even considered making my own due to how many I use but no way! These fit perfect EVERY time and that saves me a crap load of time and frustration. Will NOT use another brand EVER

What can I say....any woodworker will tell you that these things are life changing. I have been woodworking for 20 years and feel that pocket screws have had more of an impact on humanity then penicillin or the internet. Properly used, pocket screws can bring about world peace and a cure for poverty.

I have not tried staining these. But I have used them on a project I painted. I could barely see where the pocket holes were after gluing them in place, sanding, priming and painting. You will need to cut them down when using them in shallow holes (ie on 1x wood) I just trimmed them using a pair of standard diagonal cutting pliers.
