> 3 dayI have not tried staining these. But I have used them on a project I painted. I could barely see where the pocket holes were after gluing them in place, sanding, priming and painting. You will need to cut them down when using them in shallow holes (ie on 1x wood) I just trimmed them using a pair of standard diagonal cutting pliers.

> 3 dayI was slightly apprehensive about how these would hide the fastener but they were easy to install and required no additional trimming in my application.

> 3 dayWhat can I say....any woodworker will tell you that these things are life changing. I have been woodworking for 20 years and feel that pocket screws have had more of an impact on humanity then penicillin or the internet. Properly used, pocket screws can bring about world peace and a cure for poverty.

> 3 dayThese pine plugs fit the holes very well. With glue and sanding the hole and plug are completely hidden under paint. The hole is visible if you use a clear finish, especially if you cannot make the grain match.
