Greater than one weekThe motor finally gave out on my 10+ year old box fan and this sounded like a suitable replacement. Easy to move and position. I use it in my upstairs bedroom.

> 3 dayThis fan has a large surface area for the stand and is stable. It comes apart for cleaning the blades and grill. While it is not as quiet as I would like it moving air makes noise and this fan makes the least amount of noise compared to a few other brands I have owned. It moves air at a good clip or slowly depending on which of the 3 settings one chooses. It has a long cord so it can be moved around the room and it can be rotated to move air straight up. I didnt get a remote so I cant comment on that but for the money this is the fan. Ive owned several and they lasted me ten years with spring and fall cleaning of the unit. I also put the vacuum nozzle right up to the electric motor vents to pull out debris and with the windows open all summer and 2 cats and 2 dogs I get a lot of debris... I recommend this fan. And thanks to the company for making something to last! Thats the way to keep customers!

Greater than one weekI love my Lasko fans and use them around the clock. Louisianas heat and humidity make airflow a must to survive. The white noise is great at night to muffle out the southern sounds of nature.

Greater than one weekIts a great fan. Big. Moves air great. Its our second one. I bought one a year ago and it has held up beautifully. I bought it half for how it works and half as a noise machine to drown out the noise of screaming kids next door. Its not loud, it just has the right sound to counter the pitch of the screaming. I am guessing it is an anomoly that the knob did not hold up. Its a tiny little piece of plastic that engages with the spindle that did not hold up. It spun a little when I first bought it. Had I known it was compromised I would have sent it back. Now I cant return it so I will have to figure out what to do about the knob because it wont catch.

> 3 dayIve been using this fan for about 2.75 years now. I run it every night in the bedroom to keep air from getting stale, and to create some background white noise. The fan itself is capable of moving extreme amounts of air. Moving that air creates noise - which is incidentally perfect for white noise at night. During the summer I had this in the office to help cool me down. Ill admit, it is loud. But I still love this thing a ton. Its very sturdy. Even after constant use it hasnt gotten loose or worn down. Its rattle-free after all this time, and a very smooth consistent work horse. It doesnt do the whole auto rotation side-to-side thing, but it does stay pushing at at the direction you point it. You can pivot it up and down, and it holds that position. Ive used it in the kitchen window after a botched burnt dinner. This thing is much lighter than youd expect for its size. Ive seriously considered getting a second one of these things. I actually do strongly recommend this fan. Mine has been solid quality, and I bet yours would be as well Update after 2.75 years (above review is 1.5 years in): The fan is still performing exactly as described above. I love this thing. The reason Im updating this is because Ive come back looking to buy a second.

> 3 dayIts a good working fan. Wish it came with a remote thatd be the cherry on top! Good white noiselevel nothing distracting or obnoxious. The know button is a little loose but you just have to push a little while turning the dial. Id buy again.

> 3 dayWe have been using the Lasko High Velocity Wind Machines for over a decade and we are just now starting to replace them. We have dried ice hockey and lacrosse equipment, kept dorm rooms and bedrooms cool and even use them on our dock to keep flies away from our lounge chairs as we relax. I cant recommend these fans enough and will continue to buy them as long as they are sold.

> 3 dayOctober 31, 2019 update: I contacted Lasko directly and they sent out a replacement blade and it corrected the issue. Replacing the blade was easy, removing the 4 screws that secured the front grill and the 2 screws that secure the handle. The old blade pulls off and the new one pushes on. That’s it. As mentioned previously, this fan pushes a lot more air than the typical box fans we have, and that was the primary reason for purchase. Original review: October 23 & October 25 for the two fans delivered: I am at a loss to explain what is going on with these fans. I returned the first as it came broken. The replacement unit has an issue with the blades, causing a startup shudder/vibration and a constant vibration (which you can feel through the floor) as it runs. These were new, not refurbished, so it’s hard to explain! My plan is to reach out to the manufacturer before returning for replacement or refund, as I’ve lost faith that a replacement would arrive in good working order! On the plus side, these fans do put out considerably more air than our existing 20” box fans. The box work well and have worked well for years, but they don’t move a lot of air. This was the primary reason to purchase this fan over another box fan. I wish we could get one that isn’t broken and works properly! :(

> 3 dayI like this fan because it has a variety of setting and it blows air well and can be easily moved up or down. Light weight for a fan its size. The down side it doesnt have a remote or timer. Overall I like it. I even like sleeping with it on.
