> 3 dayThe motor finally gave out on my 10+ year old box fan and this sounded like a suitable replacement. Easy to move and position. I use it in my upstairs bedroom.

> 3 dayI read so many great reviews about this but one stood out the most because the reviewer posted a great video of the fan. I was going to buy it from Amazon when I got back home but happened to stop in a riteaid drugstore and signed up for their wellness card and recieved an instant $25.00 off AWESOME I am naturally very hot and have my ac running during the winter, so I figured Ill buy it just 3 blocks from home and if Im not happy with it Ill return it. Well, this fan is FANTASTIC, Ive used all 3 settings and am very impressed with how well it moves the air around. I always set my AC at 63-64 65-66 during the winter. With this fan I have my AC set at 66-67 and the fan set at 1 and I feel fantastic, it was 97 the other day and had the setting at 2 and my ac on 66 and actually put a shirt on and set the fan on setting 1 . Thats pretty impressive coming from a person that CANT HANDLE HEAT AT ALL 2 ADDENDUM - 2017 , ORIGINAL FAN PURCHASED IS WORKING FINE HOWEVER, I PURCHASED ANOTHER IT ARRIVED WITH NOTHING TO PROTECT IT FROM BEING BOUNCED AROUNCED DURING TRANSPORT VIEW PHOTO, THIS IS BEING RETURNED . With the ac off I had it turned up to 3 and it has an amazing wind force but you do need the AC for the cold air. So the two make a great marriage and I save money on my energy bill. Very easy to clean the blades, you just unloosen the sides and pull the front off. Its very lite-weight and the handle on top is an added bonus. It does shake when set above 1 but not much and has a nice whisper sound which comforts me. I have a $300.00 bladeless fan I purchased last year and this blows it out of the water. Had I purchased it on Amazon for the 50% more I would have still been thrilled and Im buying another just to keep in another room or as a backup. Perfect name for it, it really is a heck of a wind machine.

> 3 dayExcellent air flow. Low noise. All Lasko fans we have are the best.

Greater than one weekThis fan is lightweight and easy to move around with the top handle. Yes, it will cool the room off which is what I wanted. If you are looking for background noise this is your fan. It easily rotates up and down using the side knobs. The on and off switch is cleverly hidden, unmarked in the back behind the blade hub. This fan however has an issue with shaking while in use. Placed on a level surface at lowest speed it is loud and the entire fan vibrates. On high it vibrates so much that you can hardly read wind machine. Sleep with it, not likely. Its hard to tell how durable it is. It does not appear well made. There are many unfinished sharp edges where the two colors of plastic come together. Update: I returned the above fan for free and was sent a new one within a week. The new fan does not vibrate when in use. It is a bit loud for my likes but it gets the job done even on low. It would make great white noise for those that want it. It definitely cools a room. On the new model received there were no sharp edges. scuffs or dirt as on the previous fan. I am pleased with how this was handled and the function of the fan overall. I would recommend this fan.

> 3 dayReally nice and large fan with really high fan speeds. 3 speed, fully adjustable front to back. On low its fairly loud but not terrible, on high its quite loud but its also blowing serious wind on high. Its much larger than I expected which was a pleasant surprise. I use it primarily to cool off my motorcycles and at the track so the extra long cord with high power speeds will really come in handy. Cant speak to its durability yet, its made fully out of plastic but the build feels pretty solid. Arrives fully assembled and ready to go. Id recommend for work areas or large rooms for circulation, but for a personal fan next to your bed, this may be a bit much considering its size and strength. Nearly an industrial level of fan speed on high setting, comparing this to my floor blowers which I was using prior to this.

> 3 dayI use a fan to sleep with. My current fan, a Lasko box 20 fan, has developed a whine that comes from the motor after several years of nightly use. The whine comes and goes (more so now than before) and keeps me awake or wakes me up. Its a very penetrating whine. I have bought - and returned - six fans so far from local stores in my search for a decent replacement. Everything from a replacement 20 Lasko all the way up to construction-grade floor fans. Every one had some major flaw which, although they all moved air, would probably have shattered glass with their whines. While getting less and less sleep (I live on a busy street, across from a convenience store, near a very loud dog, do not have double-paned windows, take two sleeping aids and still cant sleep) due to the intolerable whines the fans I get all seem to have, I decided to do some research into the best fans for sleeping. I found this 3300 Wind Machine Floor Fan on several sites which said it has a good sound for sleepers, and moves air well. Although its NOT my first choice (the first one was unavailable), I decided to give it a try since it was rated number two by sleepers who use one. The reason it wasnt my first choice is that its a Lasko, and two of the Lasko fans I bought to replace the one I had were painfully messed up for sleeping. I was leery about the brand by now. It arrived very quickly (for which I was grateful), and set-up was all of pulling it out of a box, plugging it in and turning it on. On the bright side, it doesnt seem to have a whine (after listening to it for all of five minutes). But what it has is a distinct rattle or crackle - like somethings loose or rubbing in the motor - that makes it useless for the job I need it to do. Many said it was loud, but it isnt. Its no louder than the Lasko I used to have (A standard $15.00 box fan) and might be a bit quieter because the fan runs at a somewhat lower pitch. It does move air, but Im not sure its any more than the standard box fan. The fan itself is entirely plastic, with the only metal being the motor and the screws that hold it together. It doesnt seem terribly sturdy, but it doesnt seem to be falling apart, either. The reason I gave it a poor construction rating is the flimsy feel to it and the fact the motor (like all motors these days, it seems) has issues. As a fan for NOT sleeping, Im sure its fine. But as a fan for sleeping, stay away from Lasko products. This is the third different Lasko model Ive gotten (out of seven fans Ive tried in the last few months) and all of them were flawed - if a consistent low fan-like hum is what you need to drown out the sounds of the world outside. To be fair, I literally got the thing half an hour ago. I took it apart to make sure the blade wasnt rattling against the motor housing like another Lasko fan I got (in this case, it wasnt), but the motor, when manually turned, doesnt turn quietly at all, so the sound comes from there. Its possible, I suppose, that running it for some time may work that rattle sound out, but my experience with fans is that if you have a sound coming from the motor, it only gets worse with time. Considering the price and the cost of shipping, I wont be returning it. I will follow up on this review if it turns out that the fan is actually better than the first impression gave me. In the meantime, does anyone know of a fan you can buy today whose manufacturer isnt cutting corners (as they seem to be doing these days) and selling fans with substandard, noisy motors?

> 3 dayI bought this fan to replace one almost exactly like it (a Lasko Wind Tunnel) . My only problem is that Ive apparently become spoiled by having a remote which at first seemed superfluous, but now I miss it. This model doesnt have it.

> 3 dayI bought this exact fan in 2018, it runs 24/7 at least 8 months a year (I live in the Deep South) and it still runs perfect. I paid a little under $38 for it then. I purchased another one recently to have one in the living area to help with the power bill this summer. I was moving it between the LR and bedroom before. Price has gone up about $30, but this is a really great fan. My old one is 5 years old and still runs like it’s new so I think it’s worth the price. I do keep the fan clear of the dust build up that occurs which is important if you want any fan to last.

Greater than one weekI love my Lasko fans and use them around the clock. Louisianas heat and humidity make airflow a must to survive. The white noise is great at night to muffle out the southern sounds of nature.
