Got this for my 7 year old god daughter as a Christmas present. She loves Frozen, and we had fun building another LEGO set this sumner. This combines both into a just the perfect gift. I started doing LEGO and board games with my godson and goddaughter this summer, to get them away from their iPads and video games. It’s a great way for the family and friends to gather, have fun and actually talk to each other. With the LEGO sets, the 7 and 11 year old can both follow directions in the booklets and work on most of the building by themselves. Can’t wait for her to see this next month. Will update with more pictures once we get building :) Update 1/16/2020: the castle has been completed, new photos attached. My god daughter set it next to a bunch of stuffed animals (puppies) so they could guard the castle.

This is purchased for my 4-y daughter’ Christmas gift. Even there are bricks for little girl, my daughter still has much fun for this set.

It is challenging. There were so many tiny pieces.

The centerpiece of LEGOs range of sets for Frozen II, the Arendelle Castle features a detailed central building supported by several smaller builds including a market stall, boat, and lamppost. The set is for ages 5+ and should not pose too many difficulties for younger builders. There are a fair number of stickers included on two sheets which may require an adult or older siblings help in getting applied. The small market stall and boat are the first build, then it is on to the castle itself. The two included birds and cat look great alongside the minidolls of Anna, Elsa, and Kristof. The color selection is quite attractive and this set could blend in well to a LEGO Elves village. One fun play feature is the furniture is placed on just a couple of studs, making it very easy to swap positions around the castle and customize the rooms. The attic features a clever bust of the queen along with a family portrait. There is a very cute dovecote to house the doves on the second floor of the castle. The floors are modular and can easily be detached for play, although there arent really any obvious alternate ways to stack them unless one modifies the build. The large teal roof piece are printed, not stickers, which is really nice and means everyones roof will look nice and straight. Recommended for Frozen fans as well as anyone interested in a more-colorful-than-usual LEGO castle build.

This is the second Lego set Ive put together since I was a kid, and I had forgotten how much fun they are. I put this together with my six year old niece. She was already very excited about it since it was from Frozen 2, and spent most of her time just playing with the two main characters. It doesnt have as many moving parts as the gymnastics Lego set I last put together, but is still pretty fun and the finished product looks great. It has a lot of stickers included with it that you can put on the pieces, like framed pictures. The pictures show mostly the outside of the castle which looks pretty bland, but the inside has all kinds of furniture and parts that provide a lot of detail. This provided about five hours of entertainment for us.

Another fun set we purchased for a Christmas gift. Purchased early because it was marked down a good bit.

This is an incredible Lego set, especially for the price. The pieces are wonderfully detailed and colorful. Many parts seem much more rounded than most Lego sets I have seen in the past. Im not sure if this is a new direction that Lego is moving in or a one-off, but the characters especially are a move away from their usual, blocky designs. The main building is a lot more traditional with the square interchangeable pieces that most Lego builders are used to. It gives you plenty of parts to combine with other sets to make into your own creations. As with all other Lego sets I can recall the assembly sheet is incredibly easy to follow. The parts are all carefully pre-packaged with no parts missing or misplaced. All of the pieces interlock perfectly and they are still insanely painful to step on! This is another Lego set that is worth far more in fun-to-dollars ration than most toys you will find anywhere. The price is also a great deal for a set of this size.
