> 3 dayThis was a very fun build. It took me probably 8 hours total to build it (going at a leisurely pace and split over a few day). The arms aren’t as sturdy as I would have liked and if you are adding a lighting kit be sure you aren’t displaying it on a glass surface. When lit the colored insides show in the reflection. Mine came missing the sticker for the plaque but I reached out to lego and they sent me a replacement free of charge. Overall this was a solid purchase and will make for a good display piece.

> 3 dayThis was a great product for gifting my teenage son this past Christmas 2021 to go with his other Star Wars lego collection. I was trying to wait until he finished it to send a photo...Hes still working on it 6 months later...LOL! It is one EXTREMELY LARGE masterpiece to assemble and worth every penny! Thanks.

> 3 dayWe bought this for our daughters 23rd birthday and she was so excited. She has built other Star Wars Lego projects so she was able to navigate the instructions with only a couple goof ups that she had to redo. The R2 is bigger than the other things she has done and at 2,000+ pieces theres a lot of steps. She couldnt put it down and so she was done after a couple of LONG nights. Its pretty spendy for a box of teensy plastic bricks but the look on her face was well worth it. The level of detail is really impressive on it. Now we have to find a place to keep him...

Greater than one weekIt was a gift for my wife and she loved it. She stayed up for 13 hours putting it together. She was missing two pieces but after reaching out to the company, they sent them to use.

> 3 dayMy wife finds out how much I spent on this thing. She asks me if it has a little lightsaber that shoots out the top like in RoTJ. I say no. Look at the back of the box and see that it does. All is forgiven.

> 3 dayI love legos (as an adult) and have never had trouble. But this box has had 4 missing pieces (and I’m only on bag 6). Luckily, the first 3 pieces were easily replaceable. I’m not convinced I have the 4th piece. This means I will need to completely disassemble what I’ve done to return. Unhappy overall.

> 3 dayPutting R2D2 together was fun at first. I had to stop on bag two and wait for Lego to ship a vital piece to the inner workings of the droid that was missing and now have to wait for another piece to be shipped from bag 6. The ordering process the first time was a miserable experience, and now with this second missing piece it has taken the fun out of building. After leaving my review I found another missing piece and am still trying to get one of the missing parts from Lego. For a set that costs this much, I would have thought Lego would be better about shipping missing pieces and responding to customers. After this experience with the company I am done buying legos.
