LEGO Star Wars Slave l – 20th Anniversary Edition 75243 Building Kit (1007 Pieces)

75243 Slave I is one of the sets released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars. It contains 1007 pieces and 6 minifigures. Boba Fett is included, the Empire Strikes Back variant. The minifigure looks great and he has detailed printing on the helmet, torso, and legs. The cloth shoulder pauldron is also printed and looks fantastic. He comes equipped with his signature EE-3 carbine rifle. The bounty hunter 4-LOM comes in the set, and he looks pretty much the same as his 2017 incarnation; very detailed and with an accurately-molded specialized helmet. Zuckuss, one of the six bounty hunters recruited by Darth Vader, makes his first appearance ever in LEGO form in this set. His specially-molded helmet is accurate to the character and looks great. The printing on the torso and lower leg piece looks great too. Overall, quite the awesome minifigure. Han Solo comes in the set, in his captains jacket from The Empire Strikes Back. I think weve seen this variant before but it looks great. A Han Solo In Carbonite block is in the set too, and the detailing is fine, although its disappointing that LEGO didnt take the opportunity to update the piece with Hans new hair element from 2016; it still has the same type of hair from the 2010 Slave I set. Lastly, an accurate replica of the first Princess Leia minifigure from 2000 comes in this set, with 20th anniversary printing on the back and a black brick-built stand to display her on. Building the Slave I was quite the challenge, albeit a fun on. It took me about 2 1/2 hours in total to build. The completed model is very large and looks quite accurate to the source material, more so than the 2010 version. The most notable features are how the wings/cockpit rotate along with the ship in flight/landing mode, and this function continues to impress all these years later since its first implementation. There are spring-loaded missiles on the front of the ship that can be fired from the back, a handle on the underside of the ship that you can use to swoosh the ship around with your hand during play or to hold it during flight mode, and an opening cargo hold to place the Carbonite block in. The set comes with many specially-colored elements, most notably in Dark Red and Sand Green, so this is a good one to pick up for the pieces if thats what youre into. In conclusion, I really like this set. While the set 8097 from 2010 still holds a special place in my heart, this new version is a LOT more accurate, comes with better minifigures, and the play functions work noticeably better here. While the price of $119.99 is a bit higher than the previous system-scale version retailed for at $79.99, this new version has almost double the piece count, and the special edition Leia minifigure and new helmet mold for Zuckuss probably account for the $10-$15 price hike. I definitely recommend this set to any hardcore LEGO Star Wars fans! Its really awesome!

Was a great Christmas gift for my son. Everything was as is was supposed to be and nothing was missing! Love Logos!

This lego set is and amazing set for anyone’s collection. The only problem that I had was that the box was ruined with shipping labels. It wouldn’t hurt to box the item next time
