This was a gift for my nephew. He is 29 and had it assembled the same afternoon he received it. He absolutely loves it! I personally think it’s way too expensive but the other brick sets are junky.

This is a great addition to the Lego Star Wars set. We had a lot of fun initially putting it together. However this was the first time that we experienced great difficulty putting something together. We had to restart a number of times as mistaking one row for another on a poorly drawn set of instructions has a cascading effect on stability further down the line. The instructions combined with the design made this infinitely more frustrating than it needed to be (and we have done some of the very complicated creator and architecture models without issue). Overall, great concept and looks fantastic. Be prepared for disappointment and frustration on the way to the finish line.

This set is a fantastic upgrade from some of the previous models. I collect Lego and so I have had the privilege to put together an older Slave-1 (8097) as well as the recent Display Collectors edition (UCS-75060) and this set is much modernized as well as much more playable. The UCS set is much bigger, but is also more meant for display purposes. The older versions do not have the automated shooting rocket, nor the carry-handle. The carry handle is something that was introduced in older Lego sets (Star Destroyers etc), then went away, but I am glad to see it come back since it makes flying the space ships much easier and ergonomic. This unit was a lot of fun to put together (not too repetetive) and kept me busy several hours. One of the other fun features is Princess Leia, as she was introduced 20 years ago. I missed those first runs, and I am glad I now have her for my collection. If you are thinking of owning a Slave-1 set and wondering about playability this one is for you.

Just like any Star Wars lego, there are like 100 versions of each set. Id argue this is the best behind the UCS Slave. Good modern updates, good detail, and true to the original design/colors/function. Great addition to your Slave or general Star Wars collection

This Star Wars lego set is pretty great, all 1007 pieces of it! My kids have loved every minute of working together to complete this set. And have spent a long, blissfully fight-free amount of time playing together with it. That being said, I do think that liscenced Lego sets are more expensive than they should be, but no one cares about that. So: is the set COOL? YES! Will it keep your kids quiet and happy for a while? YES!
