> 3 dayThis monitor was the cherry on top of a major system upgrade. I was running a GTX 1080, but on an old 4790k, so I made the jump to the 10700k and paired with this, the 1080 finally gets to fulfill its destiny. The Panel: First off, let me just mention how awesome Adaptive Sync is. You GFX card brand shouldnt have to be a factor in picking your monitor. This is my first sync monitor so I wasnt sure what to expect, but all my games are running buttery smooth regardless of FPS so thats working great. The IPS was also a main attraction, as my last AOC monitor was my first IPS panel and I loved it. The fact they make gaming panels with it now is fantastic. Its also REALLY bright, like burn your retinas bright on white pages on stock settings. Bottom line, the picture quality on this screen and everything Ive loaded on it has looked beautiful so far. As far as response time, honestly I dont pay much attention to that, so if youre looking for how accurate the ms timing advertised is, I cant help you there. The Stand: So, the stand confused the hell out of me, because I was trying to find a height adjust before attaching it to the monitor, but when Id lower it, itd pop right back up. Turns out its balanced perfectly with the monitor weight and that pressure just holds it at the height you want. I like mine at lowest setting and the stand hasnt raised it under pressure yet. It supports tilt and rotate, but not swivel... which I dont need, but find odd. IMO less things to break down. Accessories: The good news is, they include a DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB cable which the software for the monitor used for hardware updates (mine was up to date out of box). The bad news is theyre all short AF. I get that most people dont need longer, but people with a larger desk area or that want to do proper cable managemnet will need to provide their own longer cables. Conclusion: Very happy with this monitor, wish I could afford 2 more for a triple setup. Shipped with no damage or dead pixels, so thats a win.

> 3 dayFirst experience with 1440p and higher than 60hz. Happy with it! Yeah, I know! 4K and 8k gaming are the future! Yes, the future, not now. My 3070 plays very nicely with this monitor so I am good for years of gaming.

17-11-2024This monitor is pretty dang great and for the price of 250 I paid for it on Amazon day was a steal.. I use it for my ps5.. some games on ps5 give you a crispy downscale to 1440p image and other games can actually look terrible and grainy at times I dont know why tho.. ps5 native 1440p support is coming in the next firmware up hopefully.. some select ps5 users is playing beta mode for the native 1440p as we speak.. I got this monitor because I want to play everything at 60fps and to do that most likely all games will run at 1440p at 60 so Ill hold off on a 4k monitor for now... note i also been having some flicker issues playing fps games sometimes but its not worth returning I simply turn the monitor on and off them the problem is gone.. had the monitor 2 months and thats happened 7 times... I recommend this monitor if your a console player that wants that 60 to 120 fps at 1440p... one more thing the brightness isnt the best but it still a great monitor..

> 3 dayive been using a va curved panel for years, and i decided to try this one as my new main monitor. both monitors are of course 27 inch, and the color is very noticeably better on this lg monitor. it CAN do 1ms response, but you will get overshoot in the pixels which will result in white shadows around the moving images on the screen, so i keep it at the 4ms setting which doesnt hinder my gaming at all, even in games like call of duty, its not even noticeable to me. if youve been using a curved panel for years, using this flat monitor will likely look like its bent backwards, idk why but maybe its just cuz my eyes are used to seeing a curved display. i also recommend using a DP 1.2 cable if you want to run hdr or any high refresh rate settings but this is just personal preference mostly. just depends on what you want out of the monitor. this thing is amazing, and it fits well on a vesa mount. i recommend this monitor to anyone in the market for a good quality monitor, especially if they like 27 inch panels

> 3 dayVery good monitor. Right sized width and height. Graphics are high end resolution. Colors very well matched to images viewed. If you don’t have a high end graphics card in your laptop, you probably won’t be able to use it. I couldn’t get my HP X360 laptop to hook up with any monitors except an plain vanilla 1080 resolution monitor. So being so frustrated after months of trying all kinds of monitors from major manufacturers I ended up investing in a custom built desktop computer. My laptop just couldn’t work. Mine is a AMD Ryzen 9 3900x with AMD Radeon graphics card and a 1000 PSU. I designed and built it. This monitor is a worthy piece of equipment for matching with that kind of hardware. Quality testing was done by loaning my system to a hardcore gamer for two months. He loved the performance of the monitor and had no issue with all the games he played. In vendor terms, I let the gamer do a “burn in” test. I’ve checked all the reviews at most publications who rated this particular monitor the best gaming monitor you can buy. For me, I am doing digital art. As for gaming, I installed No Man Sky and tested it. The color saturation and hues were lifelike (which is a very BIG DEAL).

> 3 dayThis monitor has been great for gaming. There are two quirks I would note, though. First, the monitor doesnt have any speakers, but my Windows 11 wants to send sound to it anyway. Im not sure if thats a monitor issue, or a Windows 11 issue, but once I shifted the settings to my headset, things work great. The other quirk is that the monitor is very bright. Like, almost too bright, even when I have brightness turned way down. I cant play with it in a dark room because it is too hard on my eyes in that setting. But others might like that brightness more than I do.

> 3 dayI am not an expert but l enjoy the picture quality for my purpose. I have it connected to my gaming laptop but have not played any games yet. But the games on youtube are nice and realistic. 1080,2k,4k,8k videos are nice and colorful. It fulfills my needs especially for the price l paid.....

> 3 daySome reviewers have mentions picture presets. I have used the SpyderXPro monitor calibration tool repeatedly on all of this monitors presets. Almost every single monitor profile that was created for accurate colors has always been the closest to the default “Gamer 1” preset that comes with the monitor. The sRGB preset has lower saturation and is far too warm (leaning more toward yellowish). The monitor I received has no light bleed, and very minimal LED glow, however, and this is IPS monitors in general, you will not achieve True Blacks like you would in a plasma. So for photo/video editing this monitor will get you close but is not perfect. If you want a compromise between gaming and digital production, this a great choice, just make sure to do your dead pixel tests when you get it, and again a week before your return time expires.

> 3 dayWithin the first few months of owning this monitor I noticed a crack in my screen on the upper right quadrant that wasnt there previously. Im almost certain it was not of my own doing since I dont touch my monitors unless its with a microfiber cloth to clean them, and I dont remember bumping into it with anything either. On further inspection, the crack seems to be almost exactly 6-8 pixels wide, and is completely straight horizontally, like perfectly so, which I think also rules out that I scratched it somehow. Im thinking that maybe one very small component got too hot and the screen cracked there as a result or something, I dont know. Again, I dont touch my monitor and I dont use sharp objects around it either, so I was pretty surprised to see this. At first I thought it was some dead pixels. Some might think such a small crack isnt noticeable in normal use, and sometimes it isnt on darker backgrounds, but on anything lighter though its quite noticeable, like a permanent small hair which you cant wipe off no matter what. Its a bit hard to see in the picture, but there it is.
