I love it! Its compact size and bi-stable operation are perfect for my needs. To achieve its small size, the device uses a bi-stable (a.k.a. latching) relay. A bi-stable relay has two stable states. It uses power only during the instant it is being switched on or off. A conventional relay uses power the whole time it is in the on state. A bi-stable relay allows the capacitors in the power supply circuit to be much smaller, making the devices smaller size possible. All tiny smart switches will have a bi-stable relay for this reason, but some will probably reset the relay to the off state when powered up. Fortunately for me, this unit does not do that. I solved the issue of the device being a little bit too big by moving it to the other socket on the outlet. That allowed me to plug a normal-sized 15 amp grounded plug into the other socket. Someone complained that the magnet that holds the transmitter to its base is too weak. Thats true, but I solved that by using a piece of Velcro-like 3M Command Strip to hold the unit to the wall, not using the base at all. The Command Strip can be easily removed from the wall without damage if you follow the removal instructions.

Super easy to set up - plug in and you’re all set. For me, no reaching over to turn on/off lamp - I just push the on/off button.

As a guy who loves lamp lighting, I love being able to turn on three in my living room at the same time. This product is super easy to set up and install. Got one and then immediately bought another for my bedroom as well. The only drawback is the plug adapter is a bit bulky, however it does not block off use for a second outlet (i.e. you can use the other socket when the adapter is plugged in).

No more climbing out of your warm cocoon of a bed to turn off the light! Originally I bought a bluetooth socket to control my bedroom lamp but that quit working after a short couple of weeks. Not to mention it was annoying to have to pull up the app on my phone, let it load then click off the lamp. Im thrilled with this remote version! The socket is behind a heavy solid wood dresser and I was worried the signal would not reach but it turns on and off the first click every single time. I can stay in my warm bed all cozy and turn off the lamp when Im done reading or whatever. The remote also has an optional sticky pad on back so you can stick it to the wall next to your bed or wherever. Great feature! It is absolutely fabulous! Much better (and cheaper) than the bluetooth alternatives!

Before buying this, I had tried some different kinds of smart home remote controlled outlets, but I returned those because they were a pain in the donkey. This product is just plain easy and you dont need a smart phone, Google Home, Alexa, or computer. You get a convenient little round switch with a magnetic mount that sticks to a mountable ring. You can use it for other things, not only lights. Ive got one connected to my bathroom fan. The fan is in a fan/light unit in the ceiling of my bathroom. Unfortunately, being a combo unit, the fan always comes on with the light, but I noticed that inside there, the fan plugs into a small outlet. By making a very short extension cord, I was able to use the LoraTap Mini Remote Control Outlet Plug Adapter up inside the fan/light combo and then I stuck the switch on the wall between the toilet and the shower. Bobs your uncle! Thanks LoraTap. These make great gifts too because the price is right and who cant use one? Here is another idea. Is your internet modem and router down in the basement? You can now reboot it all by using one of these rather than running downstairs to pull the plug. Turn on the light in your garage by sticking the remote in your car. I gave one to my friend Bill and he used it for his aquarium light.

Product worked fine initially then stopped working. Amazon directs to LoraTap website for support and it doesn’t exist!!

I wanted an easier way to switch my new monitor lights (two thin lights mounted over my two computer monitors) on and off. The lights have touch buttons but I preferred something that was easier to reach and switched both lights on and off. The LoraTap works perfectly. I plugged it into an outlet on my UPS, plugged the two lights in with a USB adapter (the lights are USB powered) and put the switch on my desk. It works perfectly. The transceiver was paired out of the box but the included User Manual includes pairing instructions in case it is ever necessary. It uses a common CR2032 watch (flat) battery which came pre-installed. A mounting plate is included with peel and stick adhesive strips (LIKE Command Strips) to enable mounting the switch on a surface. About the only thing I can think of that might make it better would be some sort of luminescent cover to make it easier to find in dimly lit/dark rooms. I would highly recommend it. In fact I did. My son just installed his. I would buy another one if I had a requirement for a wireless remote switch.

Im using this to control a kitchen garbage disposal as we needed its power outlet energized all the time to run a hot water unit. I have tried other devices of this type before, but this one is superior. What I like about it: - Super easy to install - Uses commonly available and cheap CR2023 battery - Attaches to the mounting plate with (stong) magnets, and holds firmly while still being easy to detach - Has the feel of good quality, and the on/off buttons have good tactile feedback and instant response If I had one complaint, it would be the price. I guess you get what you pay for, but Id probably buy a bunch more if it were less expensive.

My wife bought some string lights to decorate her home office, but they dont have an on/off switch. They were plugged into a power strip under the desk and hard to get to. After plugging them into the adapter, now she has an easy switch to turn them on and off. We have a few different scenarios we can see this being useful, like the aquarium lights in our fish tanks. Definitely plan to get more of these just as soon as we figure out how many we need!

I ordered one and liked it so much I purchased a 2nd. I use these in the garage to control fans, it gets hot in the south. These work very well, very impressed with the range and functionality. Highly recommend!
