I bought this to extend my Lutron home automation, and I want even more. I used this to turn a single pole lighted area in my basement to a three way controlled light without having to re-wire anything. If you have the Lutron hub, you have to buy more of these kits.

Didnt have cover plate , previously ordered , included cover plate .just another thing Ill have to purchase to complete install

Installed along with recessed lighting. Im very pleased with the results. Love the bluetooth connection.

Pros: Setup was easy. Comes with a remote that you can stick on the other side of the room, or pop it off and use it where you are sitting. I have an old house, so no neutral wire. Cons: Only works with dimmable bulbs.

Great product

I installed Caseta throughout the home of my friend, who suffers terribly with Parkinsons disease. Going around the house to shut off lights was both dangerous and time consuming for her. Now, for around 400 bucks, shes able to control every light in her home with the touch of her finger on her app or pico remote. Caseta is easy to install, easy to program, dims gracefully and, in my friends case, a life changing product. Keep up the good work Lutron!

This switch worked great and I will continue to buy these for those situations where it would be too costly to rewire the boxes for a three way switch or where I have a customer that needs a remote control for a light switch. That being said, it is critical that anyone thinking of purchasing these devices, open up the boxes and contact the vendor first! These devices are specifically designed for specific wiring scenarios. For example, this one only works where you have black, white, and ground wires in the box. If you only have black wires, then you will need a different model. If you have a ceiling fan and the light and fan are both controlled by the same switch, then you will need a different model and it cant be dimmable.

Most of my house is set up with these now, and the lights that arent dont hardly get used enough to bother with. Installation is super easy, though I had some challenges with the old boxes in this house being on the small side. And since theyre done at the switch level, they still work like regular switches when theres no connectivity, and you dont have to worry about someone accidentally switching off a smart bulb. One thing I did find, is its better to group the remotes in the controller than to pair them with their switches. There was a couple second delay doing it to the switch that isnt there when tied to the controller. It is super nice being able to get lights when your hands are full, youve left the room already, or just dont want to get up to cross the room. Or being able to whisper to Alexa to set the lights to 10% when youre wondering through the house at night to let the dogs out.
