Ive converted our house completely over to Lutron using these switches. Super easy to install and work flawlessly. Particularly great for halls and rooms with recessed light to have bright light during the day and gradually dim after sunset to bedtime. Truly set and forget. Much more efficient than Hues strategy of changing all the light bulbs and fixtures.

I bought this switch to provide my wife a remote way to turn off the bedroom light as she’s always dozing off to sleep in bed. Finally a dimmer switch that doesn’t require a third neutral wire that’s not typically wired into homes - kinda! If you’re installing this dimmer switch to a single dimmable LED lamp and the load (wattage) is too low, there’s a good chance the switch won’t fully turn off but will fade to faint glow which may hurt the lamp. You’ll need to wire in a shunt capacitor, Lutron LUT-MCL, at the lamp to create a false load to allow the switch to turn off properly. For incandescent and CFL fixtures this won’t be a problem however, LED fixtures are actually too efficient for this switch and thus can cause some operational problems. As this product is being sold as a dimmer for dimmable LED lights, this fact should either be made clear up front or better, Lutron should include the shunt capacitor with the switch, which really probably only costs them less than a dollar but will cost you ten times that amount to purchase it separately, not to mention the added inconvenience and wait time to make the switch function properly. Otherwise its a great product that easy to install (though you should include the effort to install the shunt capacitor if you’re wiring the switch to an LED light fixture), looks pretty good, and gives you the convenience of a remote control.

This light switch is great. So easy to install and I love that we can control the lights from the other side of the room with no wiring.

Best part about the kit is the wired dimmer can go in either switch spot and the remote in the other. The remote can be paired with multiple switches as well so plan it out!

Pros - Alexa integration on Lutron Caseta lights and dimmers is excellent. - Voice control and a real switch is heaven! They work seamlessly together. - Design aesthetics complement any decor. - Pull tab to cut power is excellent when the lightbulb isnt compatible. - Location-based routines work well. - Easy installation. Cons - Hard to find compatible LED bulbs, especially non-standard (i.e. G4, Edison, etc.). - Lack of color options.

We put this dimmer switch along with the remotes in all 4 bedrooms. We love that it pairs with Alexa and makes everything simple. No more lights left on by kiddies! My favorite feature is the schedule you can turn lights on when not home! Very satisfied!

When you dont have a white wire and its a three way switch. ..basically it changes your three way to a one way but the other switch is ran by pico. Love it. Had garage sensor lights which dont last in the country. I intalled new lights and decided to have alexa help me and i set it up with a shutoff routine. Remember to wire pico first then the switch. Lov it so much! Thank you lutron.

The Caséta was installed after an aging Lutron remote wall switch failed. I was, needlessly, apprehensive about the ground/green wire. I followed the identical wiring of the old switch and snipped off the green wire. The dimmer works perfectly. The installation is in a light bar over our bed.
