This switch worked great and I will continue to buy these for those situations where it would be too costly to rewire the boxes for a three way switch or where I have a customer that needs a remote control for a light switch. That being said, it is critical that anyone thinking of purchasing these devices, open up the boxes and contact the vendor first! These devices are specifically designed for specific wiring scenarios. For example, this one only works where you have black, white, and ground wires in the box. If you only have black wires, then you will need a different model. If you have a ceiling fan and the light and fan are both controlled by the same switch, then you will need a different model and it cant be dimmable.

I’m in the process of automating some of the lights in my house. My house is 80 years old and didn’t have neutral wires in the existing electrical boxes. This was the best switch I could find on the market for houses without neutral wires. Pros - simple integration with HomeKit - looks and functions like a traditional light switch - Response time is very quick - I’ve set a number of them on rules that respond to time of day (sunset, sunrise) through HomeKit automations. Cons - needed a lutron bridge. - requires some basic knowledge of how to wire electrical boxes Overall a good product. Needing a lutron bridge, in the end, was not a big deal. I now have several lutron switches in my home. I would recommend this product.

Pairing was simple, installation was simple, and it immediately supports Echo and HomeKit if you already have an installation.

We have testes and owned different brands of smart switches and dimmers and Lutron Caseta are by far the best! Easy to install, reliable, dependable, easy to automate, works with SmartThings ... we cant say enough good things!

There are a lot of pictures on the website. I was very confused when I did not see the face plate. I bought another one, which included face plate. I wrote a ooir review and said I would not buy again. I am the idiot who bought their products. Returning them all, not going to deal with them anymore.

my house is full of these things....they are addicting and once you get a couple, you find more and more reasons to replace more switches.....I use HomeKit, they are so easy to install. My only complaint is that the mother switches dont have a favorite button like the $14 remotes. These are awsome and if you are like me and have 3 and 4 ways switches....so simple....you only wire 1 switch and use wall mounted pico remotes as the other locations with no wiring! I picked the least used location to intall the mother switch...that way the more used switches had a favorite button. In response to a few complaints Ive seen....it you buy the right bulbs you wont have the problem of them not turning off all the way. No you dont have to buy expensive bulbs....Im using the feits from Costco....work beautifly. To those complaining about the need for a hub....the advantages are many...makes switches simple to set up and takes the load off your router....dont buy these if you only want one or 2 switches, cheaper if you buy a starter kit....the hub is a very small price if you are serious about smartening up your house but for a couple switches...just get a independent wifi switch and fight through all the kludgy set up and difficult wiring. Dont buy the on/off switches by lutron unless your lights dont support diming at all....the dimmer is no more expensive and the on/offs are more complicated to install as they require a neutral. Im ripping out my wemo and meross on/offs, they work most of the time and were a total pain to install, replacing with the caseta dimmer....

bought it elsewhere. switch feels like mush when pressed, very very mushy, lack of feed back. wish it was a lot more tactile. a little on the expensive side. easy install. smart control and software is top notch. pairs and stay paired, no issues with the hey GOOG.

Does not work with Alexa or SmartThings. Need to buy yet a third piece of hardware. Start being compatible guys. All these things don’t fit in my living room.

These are great dimmers. The remote is very convenient especially in the bedroom. They are not difficult to install, but not easy either. The remote could be a little more substantial.
