MagLite - ST3D016 Maglite LED 3-Cell D Flashlight, Black

> 3 daythis is a no frills flashlight. It runs on 2 D cell batteries like a real flashlight should. The LED light is bright - both LED and standard bulbs are included. I love the abilty to focus the beam on a narrow spot to look for a noise maker downstairs, or use the broad flood light effect for walking through the neighborhood at night. The flashlight is aluminum, has a nice weight -- but not too heavy. It looks like it will last a lifetime. I just have to keep the Orkin guy from taking it with him....like he did my last flashlight :(

> 3 dayGotta say love these flashlights the only thing that keeps it from a 5 star is the lens is as cheap as they come I mean we are talking about a 5 star flashlight that has no rivals unless you step into the realm of stream light 200$ flashlights and yet for the perfect $50 and under flashlight this is by far the top dawg! If only they could just make the lens worth it

> 3 dayI have had Maglite Flashlights since 1983 and I must say I still have my original 3 cell D never changed any parts only bulbs and batteries. However, I must say I have to throw away 3 LED 3 CELL D in the last 3 years. Constant LED contact issues, switch rubber popping out, poor seals for waterproofing, Bad switch mechanism and corrosion a plenty from the slightest battery leakage, I dont know whats the deal but my old 1983 does not have the corrosion from battery leak problems...is the materials that make them different? My brother have the Streamlight flashlight laughing at my undying support for Maglite I think I will switch brands for my next buy

> 3 dayI have had Mag-Lite in my home for many years for the fact that there is no better product on the market. I purchased this new model as an upgrade. While the old model gave good light and good service, there was one weak point, the light bulb. The bulb seemed to fail at the worst possible moment. With new LED technology, I expect to rarely if ever to have this problem again.

> 3 dayThis appears to be a standard three D-cell MagLite. It is emphatically not. It is the brightest flashlight I have. I do wish that it had a low intensity setting to stretch batterylife. But given the choice of bright vs dim, Ill take bright. It is beautifully made, and balances well in my hand. Really superior product, and its made right here in the USA.
