> 3 dayI originally carried a three D-Cell MagLight back in the 1980s and found it to be very useful. After many years, I needed a flashlight to keep around the house, one that was large enough to not misplace and comfortable to hold while shining the light, so immediately thought of another Maglight. Turns out they now have the LED versions. I had to wonder how could they change what was such a great flashlight. Turns out it was for the better. Same feel, same weight, but wow, the light and how long the batteries now last is amazing. If I was still working security, the savings on the batteries used would pay for this in record time. I put in batteries that I had already run down in a military flashlight and this flashlight behaves as if they were new batteries. The light is just that strong and focused. If you are looking for a flashlight to store in your vehicle or to put in a holder by the garage door, this is the one.

> 3 dayReturned this after installing new batteries. Maybe produces 50 lumins and has dark spots when zooming out. Try the lenser lights amazon sells. I have one that takes 2 C cell batteries and it has great battery life and about 200 lumins of output.

Greater than one weekI have owned this flashlight for several months now and must say that this is one of the brightest flashlights I have ever owned. When I first received it I added some old batteries to it that were in an LED lantern that did not give off very much light. When I turned it on, I was floored with the output from even old batteries. We now use this flashlight exclusivly unless 2 people need flashlights. I would recommend everyone have one of these in their homes.

> 3 dayWhen I went looking to replace my aging collection of non-LED Maglites I was shocked to learn that the four D-cell version was no longer being made. Now that Ive gotten my hands on the three D-cell light I know why. These are brighter than the old four cell types and weigh a lot less. Plus you dont need to worry about knocking furniture and small children over when you turn around with one of these in your hand. Like all Maglites these are build like a tank and should last a lifetime.
