> 3 dayPurchased three of these lights. Two for me and one for my father-in-law. These are really good LED flashlights that light up really well. Besides you cant go wrong with a MagLite flashlight.

> 3 dayIf your looking for a bright light, this is not it. If your looking for a light you can pretty much do anything you want to and it will work, this is the light for you. Comparing directly to a 20 year old mag light its brighter then the halogen bulbs... Comparing to todays high lumen lights its just a bulky steel tube of a flashlight you can crack over someones head and it will still turn on. I am most impressed with the life, I was able to get 64 hours of light out of a cheap Walmart D battery set. For the 30 minutes of real life usage at a time,Im pleased with the comfort the batteries wont die on me.

> 3 dayI’ve owned this for a while for casual use. Reading reviews I was surprised to read of another having their batteries weld themselves inside the flashlight. I just experienced the same. It was sitting for an extended period but with Energizer batteries and indoors in my closet. The light worked but was noticeably dimmer. Time for new D batteries. To my surprise they didn’t want to come out. I was able to dig the first out confirming the batteries had corroded. I didn’t think the 2nd battery would ever come out. Figuring I had nothing to lose I applied some wd 40, waited, then beat the light incredibly hard against concrete. I was certain I’d damage it in this process. But I wanted that battery out. Finally the battery came out. New Ds wouldn’t fit back in. I had to scrape a couple pieces of something (battery parts, dried acid…) from inside the light. Cleaned it with a rag. New batteries. Works like new now. Not the brightest flashlight I have, but the beam has a good range. And I can’t believe it survived what I just put it through. That beating would have destroyed any other light source I have. — It is odd the batteries did that as it was in the house and not wet… Then I read that other review of batteries being stuck. Maybe coincidence? Maybe D batteries don’t like sitting in a metal tube? I plan to leave batteries sit in the light so it is ready when needed. Time will tell if this happens again.

Greater than one weekI bought the Maglite 3-D Cell LED flashlight to use in the country over long distances. It is execellent. Before buying it I read a review that said another flashlight was better than the Maglite. I now own both and can say that the Maglite is better all-round. Beware false reviews.

> 3 dayThis flashlight is nice and bright. My favorite part is that is is large and heavy enough that when I walk the dog alone at night, I feel somewhat protected with something that can be used somewhat for defense. ;D
