This machine is a life saver for someone like me who has lots of ear piercings and doesnt want to sit and pick each crevasse clean. This little machine is a miracle and cleaned my earrings perfectly. I never take my earrings out so these were caked with guck and this machine cleaned it all out with just some hot water and dish soap I didnt have to do anything extra just put them in! I ordered this on a whim as we were headed to an event that required my jewelry be cleaned. I love the size, it stores nicely in my bathroom cabinet. The basket holds quite a bit. I tried first cleaning with water only and wasnt getting the sparkle I wanted. I added a bit of Dawn dishsoap and WOW! What a difference! My silver pieces were quite dirty and took a few times through to get the result I wanted. It worked so good that my friend asked to borrow it after seeing how good my things looked.
