> 24 hourIts got all you need for soldering, glue gunning, PCB board soldering, very heavy stable base. The arms are very strong and dont sag. Even the clips are first rate with insulators. Forget the little two arms with clip toys, this is the real deal.

> 24 hourI’ve been an tinkerer for years. Had some of the cheap helping hands tools. They’ve always failed, or broken. Pros: - It’s sturdy and doesn’t shift while working - Solid build materials - High diversity in the arms allows manipulation of a lot of materials Cons: - The clips utilize screws to keep them in place. Which can come out fairly easily - No ESD clip/mount so be careful Wish there was a light (which I simply build) and that there was a better way to manage the alligator clips. Other than that it’s a solid tool that anyone working with electronics should have.

> 24 hourSturdy construction, heavy base plate and six points to hold a circuit board and four goose-neck clamps. Very happy with the purchase *particularly since the price went up after I purchased mine*

> 24 hourForget the cheap, flimsy, unstable, limited movement holders. This set is beastly! Super sturdy and flexible. Amazingly robust. If you need a set of helping hands, just get these and be done with it for good.

> 24 hourAfter using this helping hands set for over a year, my view of it has diminished. This is completely due to the alligator clips. These clips mostly hold on to whatever it is you need, but the lock screws do *not* hold the clips to the arms for long and the alligator clips fall out. Regularly. The metal that the clips are made of is thin and doesnt seem to be able to handle much torque. Or maybe its the set screw. It is infinitely irritating to position a part for soldering only to have the whole thing slowly collapse like marshmallow filling.

> 24 hourI love the magnetic setup and the flexible arms are easy to manipulate and rigid enough to hold stuff well. I use this for soldering as well as some other craft projects so I was hoping the hot air gun holder would be a good arm for holding some heavier art projects. It holds things fine, but the ball joints are not made well; parts on them twist as if you should be able to tighten and loosen the ball joint, but it doesnt actually do anything... Another note is that the protective bits over the alligator clamp teeth is not super heat or abrasive resistant and began showing wear after one night of soldering stuff (it looks like its just small pieces heat shrink tubing or something)

> 24 hourI am impressed with the flexibility and versatility of the helping hands. The arms allow me to access what Im working on from any angle I choose. The base is very heavy and has a very big surface, and the magnets are stronger than I imagined. The only complaint I have is the the screws that tighten down on the alligator clips. They dont secure as well as I would like, and if you tighten them too much, it causes the metal to crimp in on itself. This isnt to say they dont tighten well enough to use, if you are careful. I am still very happy with the quality of the whole kit.

> 24 hourone of the hands didnt have threads for the lockscrew. had to tap it myself. minor manufacturing flaw, easily rectified but not a perfect product.

> 24 hourNot the absolute best holders Ive ever used but theyre also not $800. I would absolutely recommend this for anyone not wanting to spend that kind of money. Super high quality for both consumer and pro-sumer grade equipment.
