> 3 dayI bought this board for my daughter, who is an intermediate longboarder. I was very surprised to find this board (Bamboo Drop & Fiberglass Through Longboard) set up very well right out of the box. I had my tools ready to go, but found no need! My daughter was impressed- loves the look and absolutely loves the ride. She uses her boards mostly for cruising; occasional tricks/freestyle coming in second, drifting a distant 3rd. The stock wheels are a bit soft for drifting but great otherwise. This is a lightweight board for its size and class. It has a very nice and low center of gravity and riders dont have to worry about wheel bite with this board design. The flex of the deck is fantastic, offering great feel while still smoothing out the ride on typical pavement and sidewalks. I highly recommend this board for beginners through advanced riders. More advanced riders may have a preference for specific wheels/bearings, but even so, the deck and trucks are well worth the price. Keep it stock or upgrade to your hearts content- this is a great longboard!

19-11-2024I purchased this board on 6/3/18 When I first received it I had an issue with getting the wheels and bearings off of the trucks. So I deployed tools to try and remove them, so I could replace the bearings with Reds, but in the end was only able to get 3 of the 4 wheels off. The one that stayed was the right side of the front trunk. I wrote quite a review for Magneto and returned that board. And to my surprise magneto actually reached out to me! And said they wanted to send me a new board on them! When I received the replacement board with the same problem describe above. I contacted magneto and they sent me one replacement truck and now the board works as it should. But I’ve still gone ahead and replaced the bearings with reds, and the bushings and wheels with orangutans. Now the board carves like a dream and looks even better! But it costs $130 for the board and $95 for the Reds and Orangutans to get to this point. The problem is while this product looks awesome. And that is exact the reason I was so eager to receive it. Other than the deck this board uses low quality parts. The bearings do not roll like skate bearings, the wheels are of Moderat quality, the bushings lack control and squeak a lot, but most frustrating! Some of the trucks were made to the wrong specifications. Making it impossible for you to remove the wheels and bearings. Particularly the right side on the front truck! It’s slightly cone shaped so you can put the bearings on but you can’t take them off. But on the other hand magneto seems to stand by their products and so far the communications I have had with magneto and their customer service is top notch! And what I would expect from a company like Apple or Keurig. Not a skateboard company, I thought all company’s had given up on their customers. But I guess not magneto! And if you’ve made it this far and still want the board I say “JUST DO IT” that deck is worth the potential problems and even if they do occur Magneto will be there to help you resolve it. I just suggest trying to remove the wheels once you get it to ensure your board is not affected by this problem too.

Greater than one weekIm a 49 year old guy and I dont have any kids. So I decided to teach my red heeler (Bailey) to skateboard. This board is perfect for that. Bailey likes the grip tape. Too much fun can scuff her paws though, so I always suggest that your dog wear protective booties-- if your pets show an interest in skateboarding. I thought I was too old to skateboard, but shes let me borrow it a few times. Super smooth ride. Also, when Bailey wears a harness, I will let her pull me through a grass field on this. These wheels go over grass and bumps no problems. I think off-road, dog-pulled skateboarding should become a thing. This thing is a lot of fun. Its fast and its probably not a good first board, but its pretty great if you want to ride on just about any surface.

Greater than one weekI am 24 years old and decided that I wanted to try and longboard. It is something that I wanted to do as a kid but I wasn’t fortunate enough to have gotten one. I did some research and found this board to be the best for the price range. When the package arrived I noticed that the box the board came in was ripped and looked like it had been tossed around pretty hard. I opened that box and inside was the board wrapped in a plastic bag and nothing else. No paperwork of any sort, which I found strange but I didn’t think much of it. Finally I get to the board. I take it out of the plastic bag and I am just amazed at the quality and look of the board. This is my first board I have ridden but I can say that this is a very smooth riding board. One thing that I noticed was that all eight screws that hold the trucks were loose. I had to tighten them up. One thing I am going to upgrade is the bearings but the wheels, trucks, and boards itself are made of great quality.

> 3 dayFirst impression, this board isnt quite as nice as it looks in pictures. the grip tape isnt well fitted and the finish isnt that great. I have a less expensive board that gives a much better presentation. Visuals aside, this is a very nice board to ride. The bamboo deck is very flexy and the trucks are VERY responsive. This board feels like it can carve and turn on a dime. I thing the slot is a gimmick, but at least it looks cool, and doesnt hurt anything. I also noticed the crackling noises while turning that other buyers also reported. It sounds a bit alarming at first, but i think its just the grip tape adhesive not flexing with the board. that noise will go away once you do some cruising. Im really looking forward to hitting some hills on this board.

> 3 dayOk yes right off the bat you can see i changed parts on it. But as for the deck its self i love it. If your a beginner i have 1 thing to say it is a super easy board to ride and if you mess with it wrong its super easy to break. This is not a jumping trick board. Not a manual board, not a 180 revert board. This is a carve cruise and dance board. That being said it is a wonderful board if you put the money into it. Very minimum change the bearings and bushings if you are light i recommend double cones. It allows for movement, less rebound, more turnability. If you jump on it never jump with your feet close to the trucks cause all your weight is being put on the wood and bolts not the base plate. It is not a grip tape its an adhesive sand adhesive coat it will rub away after a while but it isnt bad ive been riding mine for a little over 2 years now. Ive had 5 people try to buy mine off of me for $300+. Make sure if you buy it put a little extra money into it and remember what i wrote about it. All in all super fun board. Id also recommend putting anti sink plates on the bottom bolts care the washers sink a lot.

> 3 daySummary: -Great price for the quality of board. -Really fun to ride, it flexes good. -Needs tightening upon getting it, I recommend buying a skate tool with it. -Portable and the 38.5 board is perfect for someone 59 This board is amazing! No sugarcoating it, the board is a great buy for the quality of the board. Ive had the board for a month now and it is my first longboard. I started learning how to board last semester of college on my friends board. I decided that I wanted to invest into a starter board but didnt want to break the bank. This board is perfect in all the aspects I need it to be. The board is a perfect fit for someone my size; 59 and around 190lbs. Its perfect for getting to classes and back on a college campus. Really fun, and I recommend this board. This is a great board for people who know they want to get into longboarding but dont want to break the bank!

> 3 dayRetiring an old handmedown Loaded drop through deck, and this is honestly so light and reactive to the riders directional control that, paired with Sidewinder trucks and good ceramic bearings, taking even some of the tightest turns becomes reasonable. Light as hell, feels like youre floating

> 3 dayThis longboard is super easy to ride! Maybe that is just the nature of longboards, but I am a true beginner and I found it very easy to push and turn the board. PROS: - Riding on rough asphalt is nice and smooth. You can still pick up speed pretty easily and the wheels absorb a lot of the shock from the road. - The grip on the deck is good and not too grabby. - The design of the board is top notch. - The bearings seem to be pretty good. CONS: - The trucks are really loose out of the box. I tightened them and they still have a lot of play in them. I’ll try tightening them all the way and see if that helps. - The kicks are relatively small. If you are new to longboards(like me), it will seem like you need a good amount of force to kick the board up. Definitely not as easy as a regular skateboard. All in all, this is a pretty good board for a beginner. You will automatically feel confident after hopping on the board for the first time and rolling without falling off the board. On a side note the deck has plenty of flex. I’m 215lbs and get a lot of flex from the deck. My daughter is about 75lbs and only gets a little flex from the board. But it is probably still enough flex to carve effectively. Final evaluation: The board is worth buying. You’ll be pleased.

> 3 dayI have always had a longboard. But I have gotten the cheap just wood on wheels board before but this is life changing. As a bigger guy it’s hard to find a board that works. 6’2” and 235 lbs, this is an amazing board that holds its shape and rides so smooth. The wheels are amazing compared to what I have had in the past. I havnt fallen yet where with the other boards I would fall on every rock I saw. 10/10 would recommend
