The board is very durable and when it comes to speed it is really fast. The board is a little sketchy because of the slot, but I got used to it after a day or two of riding it. When I got the board the grip tape on the ends was a little flappy, but overall it was fine. The board takes a couple of days to be broken into. I recommend this board to intermediates. For beginner longboarders, this board might be a little difficult. Overall, Good job! Magneto.

Im new to skating, specifically cruising and I gotta say this board was easy for me to ride. I started off with a 27.5 mini cruiser and found it to be to small. im a 6ft 190lbs man so I needed something bigger and wider so I can feel more stable. I ordered the 38 by 9 magneto board and it was perfect. The Magneto packaging is good, nice and compact, and the board is pretty much ready for use right out the box. I did listen to a couple of reviews about checking all the bolts to make sure nothing is loose and had to tighten the trucks a little and the bushings (optional depending on how tight you like them). Other than that, the board is nice and easy to ride. PS: The quality of the bearings and wheels seem fine to me but I am a beginner and this is my first longboard so I dont really have much to compare. Update: 9/27/18 So ive had this board for about 2 weeks now and I learned a lot since then. I bought some new bearings (heady shake) and right away felt the difference. I also bought new wheels (bigfoot mountain cruisers) which are bigger and harder (76mm, 80a verses the stock 70mm, 78a) and it made the board faster and smoother. Now I can comfortably say that the stock bearings are decent and worth upgrading considering theyre cheap to buy. As for the wheels, if you want to ride faster, id recommend buying some bigger wheels that are a little harder. Still dont know enough to have a firm opinion about the trucks/bushings but they seem good to me.

The deck is gorgeous, the trucks and wheels are decent for a pre-built. Ive seen some people complain about the trucks being too stiff, but I think that really just boils down to weight, riding style, and how tight the kingpin bolts are from the factory. Im about 200lbs and I found them rideable out of the box, but I actually ended up tightening them up a bit because I steer more from my shoulders and hips than my ankles and knees. Friends of mine who are 40-80 pounds lighter than I am have been able to control the board pretty well, too, so I think that the stock parts are decent, they just may need to be adjusted to match your particular riding style. Overall, its a nice, fully assembled board that handles pretty well and is comfortable to ride for a very reasonable price.

Im a 49 year old guy and I dont have any kids. So I decided to teach my red heeler (Bailey) to skateboard. This board is perfect for that. Bailey likes the grip tape. Too much fun can scuff her paws though, so I always suggest that your dog wear protective booties-- if your pets show an interest in skateboarding. I thought I was too old to skateboard, but shes let me borrow it a few times. Super smooth ride. Also, when Bailey wears a harness, I will let her pull me through a grass field on this. These wheels go over grass and bumps no problems. I think off-road, dog-pulled skateboarding should become a thing. This thing is a lot of fun. Its fast and its probably not a good first board, but its pretty great if you want to ride on just about any surface.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend who’s been wanting a longboard since he was little and he loves it! When I received the package I opened it up to make sure everything was okay. The longboard was beautiful! My only concern was that it was very flexible to the point I was scared to give it to him. From my research, because I know nothing about longboards, they are supposed to be flexible so it can be easy to turn. My boyfriend did say he had to tighten the board up because after a few uses he was concerned too. But, all it well and it was a great purchase!

Im very new to longboarding and this is the only one Ive ever been on so take that into consideration. I really like this board. It came with a tool to adjust the responsiveness of the trucks. Once loosened up it is very easy to turn. Im right around 200lbs and it holds me just fine. The only reason I am not rating it higher is that theres a very noticeable defect in the grip tape application. It doesnt bother me at all but it is worth noting if you are super picky. Ive already ordered a second board based on how much fun this one is. Recommended.

I turned 45 last month, and Ive always been intrigued by longboarding. So I pulled the trigger after I found this company. Im glad I did! Beautifully built longboard, that was fun right out of the box. Magneto Boards are built to look good as you can see, and so far Id say they are also built to be sturdy. Im 61 190lbs and the Hana Pintail feels like its solid under me. I may stiffen up the trucks when Im ready for bigger hills, but on flats and little declines, its ready to go right away. 5 of 5 would recommend... highly recommend. Ill buy more from Magneto as they have boards in stock!

The deck is great and has a very nice flex, and camber. Concave feels nice when carving. However, apart from the deck, this board did not arrive in what I would call new condition. The wheels did not spin, and I had to replace the bearings. I had to grease the pivot cups because the trucks were loud as hell, and sounded like a board that hadnt been ridden or maintained in years. All in all, not a big deal, especially since I had bearings handy. So far the board is worth the trouble and immediate maintenance required. If youre a beginner, its a good board for the price, but expect to drop some money on new bearings if you actually want to skate, rather than workout your pushing leg. The pivot cups can be silenced with a few soap shavings. Youll have to learn the maintenance stuff anyway. If youre a more advanced rider and are looking for a decent, inexpensive cruiser, its a good choice.

After my trusty Sector 9 that I used for about 10 years was stolen I had to look for a replacement but I didn’t want to pay 200-300 for another sector 9 even though it was a great board. The first magneto board I received was defective. Very squeaky and even one layer started cracking all art on the first day of light riding. The customer support team was awesome and quickly let me return for a refund. When the board was back in stock again I ordered again and was very happy with the board. It looks amazing. Probably the coolest looking long board out there. It has the right amount of flex and is just a lot of fun to ride. The wheels and bearings that come standard are just ok but no problem at all for a casual rider like me. Overall great value for the money and a very good customer support team and experience.
