Like others have written one of my Emperor filters was slowing down flow quite a bit. Part arrived and after installing the impeller it was like night and day. Very quiet and works great so I am getting ready to purchase a second one for the other filter. By the way, it got here in record time for paying regular shipping fee! Couldnt be happier with this product...

Easy install on my Emperor 400. Before it would be loud and grinding, wheels wouldnt spin no water would go through the tubes. After install it was like brand new quiet.

Dusted off my OLD Marineland Emporor 400 and it was unbearably loud. Had to sleep with the bedroom door shut - so bad. I replaced the impeller with this one and it cut the noise in half, at least. Still not silent but normal. Side by side, the top and bottom rubber/plastic bits on the old impeller had worn down noticibly. Worth this $25 to save an old, reliable aquarium filter and the cost of replacing it!

The impeller arrived quickly and I installed it in about one minute. While it made a huge improvement its not exactly silent (mind you the unit Im replacing it on is around 10 years old.) I bought a later and smaller model filter for a smaller tank and the newer model filter runs silently. I however would not hesitate to buy another one of these replacement impellers. It certainly beats buying a complete new unit. Overall Im very happy with it and for ten bucks and one minute worth of work I cant complain. Thank you
