Marineland PR2121 Impeller Assembly Emperor 400b Filter Parts for Aquarium

I was about to throw away the old emperor 400 filter due to the constant grinding and sucking sound it was making. I decided to buy this impeller for it just to see if I could fix it and sure enough the filter works perfectly! Super quiet

I have an emperor 400 tgat is about 10 years old and it has been rattling for over a year. Was about to trash it but decided to give this a try and it worked perfect. Filter is now like brand new! Great quality part so far. Very happy

if your filter sound louder than before no matter how well you clean it...then this is the problem. fixed it right up

My old impeller wouldnt stop making this horrible clattering and grinding noise no matter how many times I cleaned it. I assumed it was worn out and needed to be replaced. Happily, the new unit works like a charm! Its as quiet as can be.

If your Emperor filter is loud and obnoxious, this is your answer! Mine was unbearable and I ordered this item and it was immediately quieter. The suction seemed to improve as well. UPDATE: Several months later, the Emperor with the new impeller assembly is still quiet and works well.

I would have bought these at the same time I bought my filters if I knew what kind of difference they would truly make. It is crazy how much quieter my filters are now that I replaced the impellers with these bad boys. Talk about a world of a difference! I highly recommend these for any body that has a loud filter. I have sand as my substrate inside of my aquarium and it is always getting caught up in the filters, the stock impellers could not handle it but these have no problems and are still completely silent after two months of owning them. Definitely worth the purchase, they will make a world of a difference in your house!
