> 3 dayIf youve played Mario Kart before, this is still a great title for the Nintendo Switch. The graphics have improved significantly over Mario Kart 7. All content is available from the beginning, which is great and terrible at the same time. The potential to unlock characters was a big part of the game for me, and I miss that from this release. You can unlock one character, Gold Mario which replaces Metal Mario but that is it. Theres a wide variety of maps available, most of them are stunning and very fun to play. Im disappointed with Battle mode, there is only a very small collection of maps available, and some are absolutely broken on certain mini-games like Renegade Round-Up where a match might last 19 seconds, even when playing against easy AI players just because theyre so small and there arent that many places to run around to. In Summary; Bring back the ability to unlock more than one character, and fix the major issues with your mini game offerings and its perfect.

> 3 dayThis is the same song and dance you remember with Mario Kart 8. This time around there is no add on buys to get all the tracks and characters, its all bundled in. This is a nice touch if you never bought the add on packs to begin with. The graphics and play are all the same, but with an added battle mode. I DO wish there was more tracks in battle mode, but this is a small complaint. All in all this is a good game to have, if you love Mario kart racing, and if you never got it the first time around (which was me). If you already have it on WiiU and dont play all that much anymore, there isnt enough new content to really warrant the full pricetag.

> 3 dayLiterally one of the best, if not, the best Mario Kart there is, another fantastic game in the Switch library. Better than the Wii U, and I played the original for countless of hours, this one is no exception. Online is fantastic as always, and playing with a friend or sibling is seamless. Most importantly, because the Switch is portable, you can play anywhere you go. I played with my brother once when we were waiting for food served at a restaurant, and because we could separate the joy-cons themselves as singles and with a strap, we played it and couldnt be happier. Its simple, on to the point, and most of all, just having a good time with it. For anyone who has a switch and kids, for couples, or have siblings, this one is a go-getter. Would recommend this to anyone.

Greater than one weekMario Kart. Its the best arcade racer ever created. I cant possibly add to whats already been said about Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U and this follow up, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. What makes this version better isnt so much the new true Battle Mode or the new characters but how the game plays on the Switch platform itself. A friend of mine with a Switch console and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe took our systems to a company retreat held at an outdoor facility where a huge rainstorm left the field wet and muddy. We decided to use some free time to play some Mario Kart with our systems with wireless local multiplayer. Soon people began looking on as we played. We both detached the JoyCons on each of our consoles, which allowed one additional player per console to join in with the Switch units propped on a table top. Eventually this grew into a crowd and we opted to then use a docked Switch console to connect to a projector where we easily synced our pairs of JoyCons to allow four player multiplayer on this single console. This is where Nintendos Switch console and games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe shine. The flexibility of the console and simple fun of Mario Kart made for a very entertaining afternoon that was enjoyed by gamers and non-gamers alike.

> 3 dayMario Kart has long been one of the best video games out there. The tradition continues. Mario Kart 8 is the primary reason that we bought the Nintendo Switch, and we werent disappointed. It is its own game, but I love that it has all the of the levels that we have grown up with. It is an absolute 5-star game, one that you wont grow tired of playing alone, multiplayer with family and friends, or multiplayer online.

> 3 dayThis game is great! Feels just like the Mario Kart games. The only reason I gave it 4 starts instead of 5 is because I’m not a fan of them adding non-Mario characters to the game like Link and Inkling. Before too long this will be a Smash Bros type game, which I think would take away from the nostalgia.

> 3 dayThis is a solid entry into the ninetendo switch offering list. However, there are a couple glitches. First, the pause menu came up unprompted on multiple occasions. This gave me the feeling that try as I may to beat the game, it was somewhat out of my hands. This brings me to the next point: “winning” the game is both too easy to do and too confusing to do so quickly. I spent about 10 hours at 150cc Grand Prix mode. Up until hour 8 I phoned in my playing because I wasn’t sure I was involved in a challenge. Then, things started getting hard and I tried and won. Anyway, this will be a hugely popular game, but it’s. It without its glitches.

Greater than one weekMy fiance and I have been having a blast with this. She and I have played on and offline quite a bit, and Ive play by myself a fair bit as well. In case it bothers anyone, with split screen the screen splits vertically. With or 50 we really dont have any trouble with it. Given the online service hasnt been tested a lot Ive been very impressed with it. While Ive had some disconnects from lobbies, I believe that likely has more to do with others in the lobby or our own slow (5mb/s) internet connection, with my fiance usually in another room streaming videos.
