It is as described. It appears to be the same kind of gel that was on my slicer gear when I bought it. I bought this small tube to use on the gear of my slicer blade and I think it will last me as long as my slicer lasts, or as long as I live, whichever comes first! However, I am just a homemaker who uses my slicer occasionally so if you are a frequent user you may need more!

Great value for a lubricant to be used with edible products. I bought it for my meat slicer but I will use it for many other kitchen appliances. Particularly with my super automatic one touch cappuccino machine that requires high maintenance and a lots of lubrication. The price is great and the easy to squeeze large tube allow me to be generous with the lubricant. Highly recommended.

This is a good grade lubricant. I have an electric food slicer that periodically needs to be lubricated. This is a product that was recommened to me by a food service worker. It is a thick, pasty gel that is waterproof, so you dont need to apply it every time you wash your blade. Youll get many uses out of a single use. Depending on how often you use the appliance in question, it will wear off, or eventually you will want to wash it off and put a fresh coat on. It washes with mild soap and water. You dont necessarily only have to use it for food handling equipment, it will lubricate anything.

great product. I bought it for my electrical food slicer. And it works exelent!!! It does not leave greasy stains, as petrolatum, but perfectly lubricates all friction parts. Lubricant provides an excellent stable film on metal parts. I highly recommend this petrol-gel lubricant for kitchen electrical appliances

for my purpose this is overkill. I use 2 or 3 fingertips of this grease and I probably wont use any more for another year. It would be nice to be able to get a smaller tube but when they do that they charge you the same. They tell you to use this but my friends tell me that they use vegetable oil and it works fine. If you are going to use this all the time it might be worth it but for me it was a waste of money. I gave it five stars because it does what it needs to do and does it well.

Received a beautiful tube of lube to be used in certain applications where some contact with food may occur. My use was for a water filtration system (O-rings). You dont need much, so this is a really large portion for one household, but almost as cheap as a small packet.

We bought this for a brand new meat slicer. Out of the box the slicer started to make grinding noises. We put this on the gears and it fixed the problem and haven’t had to use it since

I like having this product at home, it prolongs the life of my espresso machine.

Tube is mangled up, but its contents are fine for lubricating my slicer.

I used it to get auto hoses to slip on to their barbs . No chemicals to eat away my hoses
