04-06-2025For a friend’s granddaughter’s 1st birthday she suggested puzzles. I ordered these and they were perfect. The knobs on one puzzle make it so easy for tiny hands to manipulate. Melissa and Doug puzzles are top quality. I would definitely order these for a little one again!

> 3 dayThis is a nice set to play with or even gift. Love the way the whole set is. It is nice and chunky. Apart from using it as a puzzle you could also use it to do story time. The pieces will stand on its own as it is chunky in size. My lil one loves playing with this set. It is easy to use and place the pieces.

> 3 dayI got this puzzle on a lightning deal so the price was just perfect. I had had my eyes on this series of puzzles for a while now so I was thrilled to see them featured! I was debating between the peg puzzles and the chunky puzzles but ultimately decided on the chunky for a few reasons: -Though more expensive, the thicker pieces can hold up to more beatings -Pieces are thick enough to stand on their own so can double as wooden imaginary play pieces (we use them with blocks) -Thicker pieces are easier for little hands to grab onto- as opposed to grabbing onto the tiny pegs. I know Melissa and Doug sells puzzles with large knobs, but I felt my son would outgrow those too quickly and this way I would get the most use for my money. I love the bold colors of the farm animals, their smiling faces, and I love that the pieces have the right amount of weight to them. Unlike some of the other Melissa and Doug toys, these dont seem to just have a sticker on the front that can get peeled off (or sucked off since at this age everything ends up in the mouth. The edges of the pieces are painted and smooth. In terms of age, I love that such a wide range of ages can get use out of them. I got these for my son when he was 9 months old, so obviously he was a bit young to be assembling the puzzle. At first he just took the pieces out from their places and now, at 11 months we go through and practice animal sounds. Eventually, hell be able to do the puzzle himself. (Note: I know the recommended age for this product is 2+ years. Use your own discretion as a parent to make the right choice for your child)

Greater than one weekMy son is 16 months old and his favorite song is Old MacDonald Had a Farm. I couldnt resist getting this puzzle. Unfortunately, at his age, hes not too interested in puzzles. He is interested in the puzzle pieces, however. His favorite is the cow which he carries everywhere---bath, meals, pool. We know own two separate sets so he never loses any (or chucks it in the garbage which he has done though thankfully he confessed). The puzzle pieces stand up to some pretty heavy wear and tear though the ones that have gotten wet repeatedly have a little less paint. Ive never seen him so attached to any other toy. At the same time, I bought
