Melissa & Doug Match and Roll Shape Sorter - Classic Wooden Toy

My daughter loves playing with this toy. Good quality, lots of shapes.

This is one of my 17 month old sons favorite toys. Its actually the toy he started bringing to us, which is an important development. Its great because its portable; we brought it on vacation. Some of the shapes are hard, especially the parallelogram, because that shape is not a mirror on the opposite side. Same for the trapezoid. I started off by directing my son to the right hole by covering my hand over the wrong hole. He just recently started picking the right hole out of the two on the same color. Ive let him try to pick the right hole out of the whole sorter, but thats a little hard for him still so I always put the right color facing him first. I made a video but for some reason I can only upload a pic.

Great product as usual from Melissa & Doug. My toddler loves it. Sturdy and durable and the pieces are longer than his mouth. I have one complaint though, there is an odd piece that doesn’t fit into any holes. I’m confused. My kiddo is confused. He got super frustrated because it didn’t fit anywhere. And I am a grown adult and couldn’t figure it out. Lol. Good times. One piece also has a piece of wood coming off.

Great toy for toddlers learning colors and shapes.

He is 18 months and plays with this everyday. I wanted a challenge for him and this provides that.

My 1 year old daughter absolutely loves this toy! I love how you can lock the pieces inside once you have completed the puzzle!

The good quality that you can expect from Melissa & Doug. There are a total of 13 shapes (including one on top where the lid is). It also doubles as a rolling rattle when you keep some blocks in it. Even though my 11mo is not quite able to do the shape sorting yet, she has fun putting the blocks into the sorter through the top opening and then rolling it on the floor to make noises. Its definitely a toy that she can grow into. My only complaint is that some of the blocks have small dents on the corners, but they are still smooth, so it doesnt really bother me that much.

My toddler enjoys playing with this so much. Its one of his favorite toys! Its easy to use, and I love that all the shapes can be stored inside of it when he isnt playing with it.

Purchased for my 2yo daughters birthday. She plays with it all the time. Loves to put the shapes in, but also builds towers with the pieces.
