Melissa & Doug Match and Roll Shape Sorter - Classic Wooden Toy

This is the only wooden shape sorter that I could find that also incorporated color matching the shapes. the pieces are very well made and on piece fits into another shapes slot. My 16 m/o son loves it and I was amazed to see how quickly he learned how to match up and find the right color/shape.

I thought the puzzle pieces were too small. My grand son is 10 months and the pieces are too small for him as EVERYTHING goes in his mouth.

This is a sturdy and well-made product. My 1.5 yr old son learned a bunch of words using this, including Triangle, Oval, Square, Flower (what we told him the Quatrefoil was) and Star. It took him a few weeks to master rolling the toy to put all the shapes in. The only thing I didnt like was that there was no Circle shape on it. A great collection of shapes though.

Melissa and Doug makes some of the best toys. This block sorter is no exception. It will keep your child interested and engaged. My son loves it! When he wants to play with it, hell tell me,Color!. Great for teaching colors, shapes, impulse control, patience and problem-solving, you need this for your little one. It is a toy box must-have!

Its a wonderful toy that will grow with your child. My big complaint is that the hole at the top when you reach in to retrieve the pieces is rough. My 3 yo son and I have both gotten nasty scratches from it. Wouldnt have taken much to really smooth this out and make it safer and more pleasant to use. Still worth buying, though.
