Melissa & Doug Match and Roll Shape Sorter - Classic Wooden Toy

We have several Melissa and Doug products so I knew I would not be disappointed. We got this for my son for this Christmas and he loves it. He plays with it much longer and with more attention then any of the electronic, noice and color making toys he got from family as presents. It is very well made, the colors are very nice and I highly recommend it.

My little teether put one of the wood blocks in his mouth his tooth got stuck to the wood and I had a hard time getting it out. I don’t know why the age appropriate is 12 months and up maybe 3 years and up but this toy is very dangerous for small babies. The paint also seems to come off very easily toy went straight to the trash.

I gave this shape sorter to my 1 year old grand-neice. When I saw her this past Xmas at 18 months, she would push in a piece and then look at us to see if she was right. Too cute!!

Weve had this for a little over a year now and everything is still intact after being thrown around by my toddler. I got this when my son was 1.5 and he didnt care for it at the time. He started to show more interest right when he turned 2 though when his fine motor skills got better. He is 2.5 now and its really easy for him to sort these. If youre hesitant to purchase this for younger toddlers, I would recommend Melissa & Dougs flat wooden puzzles. Then from there step up to these 3D shapes.

Label was completely scuffed and some of the pieces were broken with sharp edges. Not sure how it got through quality control before shipping. The damage was obvious through the packaging…It should have been put in the garbage instead of being sent to me.

This one toy will provide hours of play time! Yo don’t need multiple toys, just this one! My son got this for his half birthday when he turned 6 months, and he loves to put the blocks in his mouth! At first my husband and I were afraid he would choke on them because they’re kind of small but turns out that’s impossible. And the small size block is perfect for his little hands to pick up. The red oval block fits perfectly in my son’s mouth and it’s hilarous. We play with these blocks every day stacking them, rolling, etc. Very fun toy!
