Metabo HPT Quiet Air Compressor | 125 PSI | 1 Gallon | EC28M

Relative to many other compressors it is quiet, but dont expect it to be silent, its definitely not. Its like a loud person talking level. Guess I was expecting too much from some of the rave reviews. Also the packaging has the regulator and air output pushed against the box face, leaving little to no protection when shipped. Lucky for me, both the regulator and air output had pushed through the box but were not damaged (as far as I can tell). Some reviewers had the regulator fail later, and It may have been caused by shipping damage, so look closely for shipping damage.

Won’t even power a sander - super weak power

Found this on Amazon, great price , and said it was quite. Well its very quite, only used it a few times so far airing up tire, air stapler, blowing out other equipment. but works great and can eaasily have a conversation with a coworker while standing over it.

I had a 2 gallon air compressor that was so loud, I couldnt open the garage door with it on. Id run out of the room to avoid hearing damage. This Hitachi is so quiet, you cant hear it if youre not in the same room. I added a 50 ft. retractable hose, and now I have a system thats air tight, and I can leave on all the time. plus the hose is like adding another gallon of capacity to the system. Best thing for my shop in a long time. GREAT!

i bought it two months ago yesterday was the third time i used it and it stoped working under the pump it was a pile of metal dust i opend it it was all metal on metal scraping so they made this garbage not to last honestly im going american made from now on its worth the money do not buy this product and i dont know where they get the good rating from its suspicious.

Use it for trim in occupied houses and everyone thinks its to cool.

Compressor was as advertised- small, (relatively) light weight, and very quiet. Works great BUT I was disappointed in the fit and finish. The protective “roll cage” had dents and creases that apparently weren’t noticed or thought a problem by quality control since the damaged areas were painted over. Hope this isn’t indicative of a slide in quality from Hitachi to Metabo.

Seriously, why cant everyone make a compressor like this? This baby just purrs when it kicks in, instead of rattling the windows like most others do. I also have the Rolair JC10, which sounds almost exactly the same, but weighs twice as much. This one is perfect for grabbing on the go when you just need to drive a few nails or staples to finish a project.
