> 3 dayI needed a small compressor for interior trim etc. And until now I have used a long retractable reel and compressor mounted in my van. It’s always weird to drag a hose through and door/window which has its own annoyances. Also hate dragging the bigger compressor around for small jobs or finish carpentry. This unit is so light and unbelievably quiet! When I turned on I was blown away. I wished it had higher regulated pressure but so far it’s been great for pins/brads/finish nails. It even drives 2.5” coil nails, but you have to let the motor catch up so you can’t rapid fire. For a remodel it may shoot a few framing nails too, but within reason and one might have to hammer the nail right.

> 3 dayCompressor motor failed after about 1 year. Its out of warranty, so no support from Metabo. What a joke. I do not recommend this compressor.

07-06-2025We needed an air compressor to clean and pre-process our laser printed material for our in-office mail inserting equipment. Quiet operation was the one of the most important criteria and this compressor is perfect for that. We found that when shuffling laser printer output, adding the step of blowing air over the printer output reduces the sheets electrostatically sticking together and greatly reduces jams and mis-inserts in our Neopost mail inserter. This was suggested by one of our techs and was an outstanding recommendations.

Greater than one weekVery quiet. Only negative is that after a few nails, before the motor kicks on, it has left a few nails high. Did it on both brads and pin nails.

> 3 daySeriously, why cant everyone make a compressor like this? This baby just purrs when it kicks in, instead of rattling the windows like most others do. I also have the Rolair JC10, which sounds almost exactly the same, but weighs twice as much. This one is perfect for grabbing on the go when you just need to drive a few nails or staples to finish a project.

Greater than one weekI bought this to replace a California Air tools compressor that had the motor fail. The similarities are strong. I like the semi-enclosed design better than the previous unit I had. Fewer protuberances to get tangled in. This unit has a steel tank that adds a few pounds over the CAT unit, but not do much as to really notice. It is exceptionally quiet. The capacity is enough for filling tires, air staplers, dust blowing… probably not enough for any sort of extended use of high power air wrenches. But that’s not it’s intended use. One warning- the suction cup hood it nicely on a smooth floor, soooo, when you pick it up, it initially seems quite heavy, then the feet release, and you look like you were trying to do some Olympic event, like compressor tossing.

> 3 dayI used this for 4 months starting giving issues, now just completely went dead, can’t hold any pressure and makes weirdest sound. I saw a lot reviews about it same issues less time... I recommend going to local store and get warranty, you might spend a little bit more but it’s totally worth it. I’m never buying any of these from Amazon, matter fact I’m leaving work earlier to buy a replacement
