My daughter just turned 2, but is so large for her age (36 inches, 35 lbs) that we had to move her from her crib sooner than we anticipated due to safety reasons even though she loves her crib - it is recommended that a child be moved to a bed after 35 inches. She is an active sleeper and we were concerned she would roll off the side of the bed. I was torn between this bumper and a rail. I wanted to give her the freedom to be able to climb out and I also wanted her to start sleeping without rails like a crib, but in a safe manner so I chose this bumper (plus I didnt really want to see the rail on the bed). It is quite high, she would not be able to roll over it no matter how active she is in her sleep. She can only climb over it intentionally and even that is with some difficulty. I put the bumper directly on the mattress and there is a pillow topper and sheet on top of it. So far, it has not budged an inch. In fact, I needed to adjust it slightly and had to take the sheet and topper off to move it because it was gripping the mattress so well. I am very happy with this bumper and have no concerns that my daughter will roll onto the floor (at least in her sleep).

It doesn’t fit under the toddler sheet.

I have a Yorkie, and she rolled off the bed the other day. Not hurt, but surprised, so I bought this. I did leave it out on my terrace, and took off the sleeve, instead of just unzipping it, so they fumes disappear. Puts togethert easily. It is high enough not to have my 7 lb dog go falling off again. Excellent product, and would probably work for people also, as you would need to raise your body to get over it. I would buy again.

Bought this for a trip where my 2.5 year old would be sleeping in a bed (queen size bed, pretty high off the floor with bed frame and box spring). It kept her from falling out of the bed both nights. However, it’s not super nonslip. I could still move it pretty easily when I pushed and pulled on it (it was placed under the fitted sheet) but if a child is just rolling into it, I don’t believe it would move. It’s not easy to pack, as it doesn’t really bend or fold, but I wasn’t willing to pay the extra money for their foldable version.

Was looking for something to use to keep our toddler grandson from rolling off the bed if he was laying on it. This bumper appears to be of good quality. It was very easy to set up and use. Havent had any experience with it yet, but it certainly looks like it is high enough to do the job. We have an 18 deep mattress and standard railings would not do us any good because they were not high enough. This sits on top of the mattress under the sheet. I like the fact that there is a cover on it, and the bottom has some grip to it. I expect it to be fine for our use.

Update: it’s been a few months and my son still hasn’t dallen out of his bed. The bumper hasn’t lost its shape either. I have had a problem with certain sheets fitting but other then that; great bumper. I was a bit apprehensive about buying this item but I really didn’t want to use those hard rails. I was surprised at the functionality of this product. I just transitioned my 2.5 year old son into a twin bed and it wasn’t too bad. He hasn’t fallen out of the bed and it’s been about 4 nights since he’s been in his new bed. The bumper decompressed pretty quickly and we used it the same night. I have no complaints as of yet. Fits perfectly under his sheets.

I never planned to have kids that sleep in my bed but somehow I now have two of them that end up in bed with us on a regular basis. Eventually we just accepted it and took precautions to make sure if a kid was in our bed that he wouldnt fall out. I had a clunky eyesore of a bed rail on the side of my bed all through my older sons toddler years, and now found myself in the same position again with my younger son. But when we bought a new, thicker mattress suddenly the bed rail wouldnt fit with the bed frame anymore! I am so glad this happened because it made me research other options, and this bumper is such a better solution. I wish Id found it years ago! It serves the same purpose but is so much less of a nuisance. No, its not as tall as a rail and I guess if you have a really acrobatic sleeper it might be possible for them to roll over it (?) but it seems like a good enough deterrent to me. Its so easy to use; it just sits underneath the fitted sheet and stays put. I can actually climb in and out of the side of my bed again! Great product.

For our family, safely co-sleeping with our infant/baby works the best. However to follow safe sleep practices we sleep with the baby on one side of the bed. We used to keep a body pillow on the edge but that took up a lot of space and sometimes would fall off. To help our anxiety, we purchased this bumper and it’s perfect. It fits under our fitted sheet (no need to purchase wide thickness sheets) and is very sturdy. We don’t worry at all about our child rolling or falling off the bed (we always supervise and never leave unattended). Lastly, our bed is on an adjustable frame and this moves with it easily - so we can lift the bed up to seated position and back down and the bumper is flexible enough to move with it and sturdy enough to remain a solid bumper without any creases when back in a flat position. All in all, it has served our needs well!

This product is genius! We bought this when my then almost 3 year old was being moved into a bottom bunk bed from a crib. I knew she needed some sort of rail to prevent her from falling off the bed because she is a crazy sleeper that moves around a ton, but I hated all the options available in the toddler rail department. I saw this and decided to give it a try. It works like a dream and over a year later, she has never fallen out of her bed thanks to this. She sleeps very comfortably with it, often snuggling with it or laying her head on it like a pillow...something that would not be possible with a plastic or wood rail. It does move around just a bit, but never enough that it falls completely off of the bed, a quick adjustment every so often moves it back into place. I have it under the mattress pad and fitted sheet and that seems to keep it in place for the most part. I wish I had this for my other the kids when they were younger. I may even get another one for my 8 year old who is also a very crazy sleeper and bangs into the wood rail on his bunk bed all night long.
