> 3 dayI read most of the reviews on this 2-1-2” hole saw and tried it anyways but bought two just in case. The first one went through no problem I was drilling through 1/2” steel plate kept the lube to it was patient and no issues. The only thing was the spring to push out the piece came off pretty much right away. Didn’t chip any teeth and worked fine. And some reviews said over sized but as you can see it wasn’t.

> 3 dayPilot bit broke on first hole, replaced pilot with a Milwaukee bit and kept going. Before the first hole was finished all the cutting teeth broke off on 1/8 steel sheet. Do not recommend if I could go zero stars I would.

> 3 dayI used my 21mm hole saw to drill 16 holes through 3/4” thick steel plate. Eight were set up and drilled on a Bridgeport mill. Eight were drilled by a cordless drill in the field. I did not notice wear or loss of performance at 16 holes. The pilot bit overheated since it drills faster than the hole saw. For thicker material, I recommend through drilling a pilot hole the same diameter, so the pilot bit can act as a guide and not have to work so hard.

> 3 dayBroke the first pilot bit and order 5 more… didn’t break a second.. It did the job of cutting into my well casing…seems to be undamaged. It not a very easy hole to drill drilling into a non flat surface do yourself a favor and start on your lowest clutch setting or you will break the pilot.. It did have alittle wobble to it. But not to bad.

> 3 dayNeeded a hole saw to drill through 150 year old very thick plaster to install new can lights in the house were remodeling. Hole saw is heavy and very well put together. Cut right through the plaster and lath under it. Didnt dull at all. Would buy again if I need another one.

> 3 dayMade one hole through 5/4” decking spring came off and blade became extremely dull! If not for wood my mistake but it’s definitely a fight for the second hole!
