Motion Pro 08-0519 BeadPro Tire Bead Breaker and Lever Tool Set

> 3 dayI tried these on my 17 sportbike tire. I was not impressed with them much at all honestly. there are a bit short to really get good leverage trying to take off the tire. I ended up giving up on these and going back to my old spoons. these might be good for an enduro and off-road style tire but i would not recommend them for a sportbike tire.

19-11-2024Lightweight is not a good idea when looking for leverage. These things were not worth the aluminum they were made out of. Took forever to break the bead on my tire and they worked even worse as tire spoons. Ended up scratching my rims and I ended up using crow bars after wasting way too much time and energy with these things. I returned them and bought a regular set of spoons for a third of the price. A friend has the regular (forged steel) set which he says work good. Go with those if you are looking for a multi-tool (bead breaker and spoons in one). I bought a dedicated bead breaker and a normal set of spoons. BTW, the tire was the front tire off of my FJR 1300. I did the back tire (much bigger) with my new tools and it was so much easier and done in a third the time.

> 3 dayThese are my first tire spoons. I have never tried to remove or install tires before. Bought these for the bead breaking feature, which worked flawlessly. Hindsight being 20/20, I would have gotten longer tire spoons. Just for reference, I was attempting to remove my 2009 Sportsters front tires (Metzler 880). Removing the tire from the wheel was easy enough. Installing on the other hand was not. Once you get to the last 1/4 of the tire installation, you run into the weak point of the spoons. They are just too short to get any leverage. I had to get my girlfriends help to complete the job. Side note. I have heard that Metzlers have one of if not the hardest sidewalls. Making it more difficult to install. Pros: Bead breaker Lightweight Cons: Not long enough (not enough leverage)

> 3 dayI got this to take tires off the rim of a zero turn mower, this is no easy task using note tools given they are a bit small for the job, but with considerable effort and now scuffed rims they got the job done

> 3 dayI chose to buy these Aluminum ones over the heavier steel ones. Im glad I made the decision. But the longer length would be nice if weight wasnt an option.

> 3 dayThis kit, paired with the appropriately sized Motion Pro axle nut lever tool give you a complete set of tools to remove your rear wheel and change a flat tube. I have a set on all my tubed bikes. Its lightweight and packs well. Great stuff. A bit expensive, but its a very specialized tool, and is well made.

> 3 dayVery simple to use and works perfectly. I had no problem at all with separating the bead from the rim, and the length of the tool made removal and replacement of the tire so much easier than with standard tire irons. I wanted to have something with me on the trail/road in case i had to do field replacement and this is definitely a good choice as they simplify the job, are lightweight (but extremely strong!), and easily packable.

> 3 dayGlad i got these, both of them weigh about what one of the steel shop variety does. Good, aggressive bead breaking action, and the spoons on the opposite side are useful, if a bit wide for the curve of 17 rims.
