Took considerable work to get this up and running. Not Moca adapter problem, whole house DVR problem. Spent over an hour with Motorola technical support after having cable company out twice. Problem was two whole house DVR connectors (cable guy said they were POEs) on same cable leading to router. Moved one and presto, Moca!. Getting 117 down and 12 up at desktop connected to router upstairs and same at cable drop Moca adapter behind TV in living room. Motorola tech support was fabulous. No more buffering when streaming and didnt have to run internet cable all over house. Yes, it really works. Spectrum Cable Set up: 1. POE at point of entry. 2. 2gb 4 way splitter after POE. 3. 2 Holland 1675Mhz 2 way splitters, 1 at router, 1 at TV cable drop. I will say my TV gets cable signal from HDMI from AVR in basement and cable box (also in basement) for tv receives signal directly from 4 way initial splitter.

I installed Netgear Orbi RBK-50 in my home and detached garage. I wanted a wired backhaul between the 2 units but only had coax between the buildings. The Motorola MoCA adapters work perfectly. I’m getting the 400Mbps I’m paying for anywhere on my acre. No reason to doubt the adapters could handle Gigabit Ethernet, though I haven’t tried it.

Seemed expensive for what I needed. We were just running on empty coax, no other signals present. They were plugged in and they worked, with 0 loss of internet speed from the modem. The cost is why not 5 star.

Unlike my previous MOCA adapters, these units are much more compact. Theyre easier to find a place for in your setup. The install and setup is very simple. Just plug them in and turn them on. If you have coax running in your room and need a wired connection, this is the way to go.

At first I couldn’t get this to work but the Motorola team helped me several days (when I had the time to work on it) until it was fixed. I almost put 4 stars due to it not being as easy to install as the directions said. Pay very close attention to this part. On your incoming line from outside, if the coaxial splitter is not 1200mhz or higher, it will not work. Took us a while to figure out that was one of the reasons. I had to go out and buy a 1.5Ghz splitter and that helped a lot. This is not at fault to the device itself. Most cable companies install a basic one and I have 1Gig internet service and that’s what it came with. If you have any issues, trust me, you can call or email the Motorola team and they will take as long as you need to get it fixed. Their customer service alone deserves the 5 stars and now that we got this thing working it deserves more than 5 stars.

Over $400 in the latest router and extender and I finally discover MoCa. I was covering 4 floors in an old stone row house with Wifi that was not always adequate. Most of my streaming and gaming was done on the 3rd floor. Even with the latest tech and extenders I was lucky to get between 20-60mps down and 10 up. I now average 710mps down and 60 up on the 3rd floor with the Motorola MoCa installed. Installation instructions were not great but picked up what needed via YouTube tutorials. Nothing wrong with good WiFi but this should be in every home.

I wanted hardwired ethernet in my room upstairs, and my router is in my basement. I have Fios already so MoCa was already built into the system. I did not have to wire it to the router at all. I got two adapters for because I thought I had to wire it up the old way, but the new Fios service has MoCa enabled already. You only really need one of these adapters if you have newer Fios! Simply take your cable going to your STB plug it in to this adapter, and then you will have hard wire ethernet! I have this going to an unmanaged switched, and then to my PS4, and STB from Fios that has an ethernet portand Coax (Coax not used anymore to pass signal, only ethernet) . Its been working great. So now instead of using wifi for everything I have a switch for my PS4 hardwired, and then another ethernet cable going to my Fios STBs ethernet port. Tv and PS4 work beautifully. Very simply put this adapter in-line where you want internet and it works. (newer Fios only) Older systems you will need to put this in-line at the router and the location where you want to receive internet.

Great device. Works like a charm. I use it in Italy where I live, bought an European connector adapter for the power supply (which is universal 110 - 240 V), connected the coax antenna cable and voila! My gigabit lan is extended to the whole apartment! A great and more reliable alternative to wifi and powerline system. Highly recommended.
