Set this up with a base comcast router that automatically supports MoCA. All I had to do was plug and play. There was a hiccup one day where the adapter wouldnt link with my router, but it re-linked after 10 minutes. I believe it was either due to their router or the cabling, as the adapters linked to each other fine. This is a must buy for anyone with the compatibility in their homes.

Just upgraded home network from actiontec ECB2500c. (Moca 1.1). Network LAN transfer speed went from 11MB to 100MB. Well worth the purchase!!

This works great! However, you cant install it using the Tivo MOCA Bridge instructions. You have to set up the Motorola MOCA adapter as an independent device in front of (input side) the cable modem using both the in and out cable connections of the MOCA device and use the Ethernet cable to connect to one of the ports on the router. Same thing when connecting to the Tivo device using a tuning adapter. Connect a second Motorola MOCA adapter on the network (input) side of the tuning adapter using both the in and out connections of the MOCA device and then plug the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port of the Tivo. Once youve done this, you have Ethernet LAN data over cable in all rooms having a cable outlet. No splitters required. So if youre using a Tivo Mini in another room, simply connect the cable directly to the back of the Mini and configure it to say its connected to a MOCA network. It works like a champ! The Mini will see the main Tivo box and will use one of its tuners to display live TV as well as all recorded programs. Easy to do and works well if you follow these instructions and disregard the Tivo MOCA adapter instructions. As a side benefit, your Tivo will now use the wired LAN connection to connect to the Tivo network for downloading program information (much faster than wireless) and it will allow your TV to access the Internet using this same faster wired network. No more buffering when streaming video!

I recently bought a three-bedroom, three-level townhouse and got fiberoptic internet with 1gb speeds. Sadly I tried several wifi routers and none would give me reliable fast (ie 25+mbps) speeds to the far corner of my townhouse, which also happens to be my office. WiFi repeaters didnt work with things like my Sonos system. Thankfully these little gadgets saved me by using my existing coaxial cables in my home (which i do not use). I hooked one of these up next to my router, and the other next to my desktop computer, plugged it in with ethernet cord and getting 800+ mbps. There were cheaper ones available on Amazon, but when dealing with my computer, personal and work information, even while using a VPN and firewall, I wanted a brand name product.

I was shipped the wrong model and I had no problem returning them. It took me a while to figure out they were the wrong model and I could not get the desired performance.

Very easy to install. Save time on trying to run rj45 cables around the house. It is not cheap but if the product last long time then I am OK with that.

My son wanted a wired connection to his gaming computer. I used the coax in his bedroom and put the other adapter in my structured media panel. Our max internet speed is 300mbps and it regularly tests about 260 - 280.

My house is set up with three cable home runs with one modem feeding my router. I used these MoCa adapters to feed internet to a Roku Ultra, and a Roku TV. My internet service is 200 upload/50 download. I stalled the filter where the cable drop comes into the house. With this set up everything worked fine. The only issue was the MoCa adapters seem to be limited to 100mbs. Not an issue, I never had buffering issues while streaming movies. Gaming would be a problem!!! Recently I added a splitter to one of the bedroom homeruns to feed cable into our spare bedroom. The same cable that feeds the modem. The MoCa adapters were back feeding internet into the splitter and spare bedroom cable causing the cable to be very unstable. Moving the filter close to the main MoCa adapter fixed the cable issue in the spare bedroom but cause all three adapters to lose their link. So I removed the MoCa adapters and upgraded my router to a mesh system. Not I have 200 download/50upload WiFi everywhere in the house. Shouldve done that in the first place...
