> 3 dayIts thermal paste so it is hard to get wrong. I dont have a lot of fancy tools to test it so see if it is any better than any other choices but it arrived quickly and nothing seemed wrong with it when I used it. The scrapper helped clean the old paste off my CPU but I still had to use cotton swabs and rubbing alcohol to get it completely clean.

> 3 dayItem came on time, but was missing the applicator. Luckily I had one already. Also, while the little tube was in a small ziploc bag, it was covered in a white slime on the outside. (note the thermal paste is dark gray) so I washed the bag in soapy water first.

> 3 dayWonderful compound. I have always used AS5 for my thermal compound needs and it has served me well. This used to be the expensive compound to buy if you wanted quality. But now there are other more expensive options on the market. I just havent been able to justify spending extra money for an important compound from companies that havent been making thermal compound forever. I also love the little spreader that is included. I just wish they included two of them as I always lose it and have to find something else to spread it with.

> 3 dayIve been in the gaming PC hobby for 10 years. Arctic Silver 5 is the thermal paste I used back then and its the one I still use. Many tech outlets recommend newer pastes, but arctic silver 5 has still performed the best for me and it only gets better with use.

Greater than one weekI always recommend this thermal paste to everyone. It performs better than any other. Don’t cheap out on this if you have a nice pc.
Performance
3 to 12 degrees centigrade lower CPU full load core temperatures than standard thermal compounds or thermal pads when measured with a calibrated thermal diode imbedded in the CPU core.
Coverage Area: A 3.5 gram syringe contains enough compound to cover at least 15 to 25 small CPU cores, or 6 to 10 large CPU cores, or 2 to 5 heat plates. At a layer 0.003" thick, the 3.5 gram syringe will cover approximately 16 square inches
Arctic Silver Thermal Cooling Compound Paste 3.5g High-Density Polysynthetic Silver
Arctic Silver 5 does not contain any silicone. The suspension fluid is a proprietary mixture of advanced polysynthetic oils that work together to provide three distinctive functional phases. As it comes from the syringe, Arctic Silver 5"s consistency is engineered for easy application. During the CPU"s initial use, the compound thins out to enhance the filling of the microscopic valleys and ensure the best physical contact between the heatsink and the CPU core. Then the compound thickens slightly over the next 50 to 200 hours of use to its final consistency designed for long-term stability. (This should not be confused with conventional phase change pads that are pre-attached to many heatsinks. Those pads melt each time they get hot then re-solidify when they cool.
The viscosity changes that Arctic Silver 5 goes through are much more subtle and ultimately much more effective.)
