I own two nanits and have been using since 2020. The camera I purchased in July 2022, suddenly stopped working. It will not pair or connect. It is a wall mounted camera so it’s not been moved in any way before it stopped working. I spent two lengthy phone calls troubleshooting with Nanit over the phone. The first call ended when I needed to wait for my husband to get home to try connecting from a different device as well as attempting to connect using a different hotspot/internet source. That did not resolve my problem. I called again and went through another trouble shooting process. It ended by Nanit Support telling me they were sending it to their tech support. Since then, I’ve exchanged emails over the last few days of them instructing me to try more trouble shooting attempts that were already attempted between the other phone calls. Drawn out and difficult process. Annoying that we are trying the same things over and over.

I got this for my second baby and it is such a nicer camera experience than my first. I really appreciate the sleep analysis and timing history so I could see when my baby woke up, slept, etc. also I like participating in their studies, help offset the cost of the device.

While this is likely the best option on the market, its not nearly reliable enough for new parents with a baby in a different room. We have a commercial grade Meraki Wifi system throughout the house with gigabit internet. Despite this, we had to place the Wifi access point within a few feet of the Nanit for it to register high signal strength. Outages are more infrequent as a result, but were the lucky best case scenario and there are at least 10 outages recorded every night. If youre hoping to depend on this unit as your only tool to monitor a sleeping baby in another room, see my attached image for the sad solution... an old school radio-based baby monitor for audio backup and the Nanit for video and out-of-home monitoring. The sad fact here is that clearly the company hasnt invested enough in wifi antenna development and/or quality. They also dont offer a backup solution (integrated radio based audio monitor) despite internet having a number of points of failure. Time to stop trying to save a buck on costs and increase the consumer price if needed for the device to be safe for parents to rely on. The breathing band and other accessories sound nice and all, and offer some additional peace of mind, but really shouldnt. No baby has ever been saved by this and likely never will be. If a single parent ever relies on the breathing band and overlooks safe sleep practices as a result Nanit will have harmed that child. The company should be very clear that these are peace of mind technologies and absolutely not things that will help your child. This is a dangerous area to maximize profits. Two stars for being the best option on the market, but only two because it should come with a number of obvious disclaimers for parents.... or just be better developed for its precious purpose.

I love that nannit compiles video snippets of different things. Like morning pickups. Its something I cherish that I wouldnt think of doing myself. Or the monthly videos. The quality is great and I can access my video feed from wherever! The extra features are amazing! The Sound machine and light are a few of my favorites

Really enjoy the sleep tracking and tips for sleep. Really enjoy the portable easy of the monitor. Dislike that it has to be up 60” and in the center of the crib to get the sleep tracking. Love that you can split screen now too!

Good product and app. Gave 4 stars because there are four red night lights that stare down on the baby like Predator. It would freak me out. Can’t turn them off without losing night vision. Also didn’t appreciate having to give away baby personal information and 2-factor authentication to join the Nanit “community”. I just wanted a camera, not a community

This camera has been with me since 2018 (now 2023) I bought an additional one for my daughter. I cannot express how useful it is and reassuring to know that I always have eyes on the baby/kid. As a mom you need something reliable to be able to get some sleep!

Quickly became a must have item. The video quality is fantastic, the app is simple to use, being able to zoom in is clutch. This helped us all develope a strong sleep routine. We also love the sleep sounds

Nanit is the most reliable and high tech camera out there. We tried others like Miku and it doesn’t stand up to the Nanit at all. Nanit always has a clear connection and great picture quality.

I am so happy someone told me about this product! As I was having trouble sleeping with my last baby and knew I would again with this baby as I was scared of them having low oxygen but this has helped so much!
