We love the Nanit cam and the breathing wear, it give me so much peace of mind knowing that it will alarm me if baby stops breathing.

This camera has been with me since 2018 (now 2023) I bought an additional one for my daughter. I cannot express how useful it is and reassuring to know that I always have eyes on the baby/kid. As a mom you need something reliable to be able to get some sleep!

This is a great monitoring system! Love that it tracks how long baby sleeps. Great picture & video quality. Although on the pricier side for a monitor, well worth it!

Prior to biting the bullet and spending the $$$ for this monitor, I had tried a few other Wifi baby monitors, but was terribly unsatisfied with them. The Owlet Cam app would freeze the sound or video feed randomly and cause me to miss my baby crying (Owlet customer service told me to just restart the app, but if Im ASLEEP I cant do that!) The VTECH Wifi cam I used, I was convinced it was defective because it just wouldnt stay connected to the receiver in my 800 square foot apartment. They sent me a replacement and it had the same issue. And when that one disconnects, it beeps pretty loudly to wake you up. One night I didnt sleep at all because it just wouldnt reconnect so I went and laid in my babys room. I even got an expensive Wifi Mesh system with 4 satellites and this did not solve the connectivity issue, so that got returned as well. Anyway, now that you know the history, lets look at the Nanit. I had wanted a Nanit from the start, but its just so expensive compared to all the others! But when I went and did research and read reviews, I couldnt find one that I could guarantee would work for me. After the Owlet issue I was hesitant to use a product that didnt have a physical receiver, but I decided I would just try it, and if it didnt work then I would return it. Bottom line: I am absolutely blown away by how good this camera is! The picture quality is good even at night, the app has never once crashed or frozen, and there is a backup connection (local mode) if the Wifi ever fails (which sometimes it does say it lost connection, but I never lose my feed if Im in the house). Nanit also provides a lot more important information (IMO) than the Owlet Cam did. I dont have the Nanit subscription, but the information I get from the basic app is perfect. It shows when baby wakes up, whether baby was put to bed asleep, time to fall asleep (if they werent already asleep), how long baby was out of bed, and when significant sounds were picked up (crying, etc). The paid version gives you deeper analytics of babys sleep habits, if you want that. The app does allow background sound so you can listen with the screen locked or while using another app, which is very helpful! I will say that my husband and I pretty quickly disabled motion and sound notifications on our phones because they were very spammy and not that useful for us. I cannot review the breathing band, since my baby was too big for the one that came with it, and now that hes older I dont worry that hes going to stop breathing every night. Im sure it works great, considering how great it works in general.

One of the main reasons for my decision to purchase the Nanit is for the breathing technology that it offers. We just recently moved our LO to the crib fully at night and it is so nice that the Nanette monitors her breathing for me so that I don’t have to worry at night. we also love that it gives us the option to share viewing with the caregivers and I am able to watch the app at work as well! Nanette also offers neat features like Nature Sounds and a nightlight! I the camera notifies you how long your ELO has been sleeping and records activities for later viewing. I cannot say enough good things about our Nanit!

We love our nanit monitors!! Picture quality is great and love being able to see my babies on the app from anywhere. Breathing bands work great she give me a peace of mind. I highly recommend this monitor!!

I love that nannit compiles video snippets of different things. Like morning pickups. Its something I cherish that I wouldnt think of doing myself. Or the monthly videos. The quality is great and I can access my video feed from wherever! The extra features are amazing! The Sound machine and light are a few of my favorites

Very clear and great quality

For a baby camera that costs this much, you might expect better image quality and a better feature set than lower priced competitors. We started with a nanit pro and still use it today, but since it is not very easy to transport we bought a more mobile monitor for a trip we went on. The much cheaper mobile monitor has better image quality and comparable features. The biggest problem with the nanit is that some pretty basic features are part of the 12 months of free insights you get when you purchase the camera new. Just a simple activity log and information about when the baby woke up from their most recent sleep on a rolling daily basis should be a free feature. Our one year of free basic insights just expired, and the nanit is now nothing more than a sub-par camera. That mobile monitor I mentioned earlier with the better image quality? We still have and use that and it provides that basic information about wakeup time and noise detection as standard with no premium subscription. Overall I am super disappointed that basic functionality requires a subscription. It feels very bait and switchy to me.

Love this camera. Worth the money!
