> 3 dayThe price was the best I could find anywhere, well, anywhere that showed up on the Internet searches from 3 different search engines. Installation was very easy. All I had to do was plug the power cable into one of my UPS / Surge suppressors, plug the CAT5 patch cable into it from the Mesh System Router, plug the CAT5 cables in from my devices. I still have 4 ports. Room to grow. The only time I have to touch it is when I reset the network, or, to dust it off on cleaning day. The switch is all metal. When I held it in my hand it felt like a little tank.

> 3 dayIt was quite a challenge finding a 2.5 Gb switch. This switch is great. Easy set up and worked right out of the box. I can push 2.5 Gb to anywhere in the house. Highly recommend.

Greater than one weekBrand name, quality, solid built. This has a lightweight aluminum frame. I like that much better than the cheaper plastic brands. It’s very plug and play, no issues with any of my network devices. Cons: I have not been able to access it with the netgear management tool software. They have a switch locate app that is not finding either of my netgear switches. Not that big a deal if your router controls all of your network and protocols.

> 3 dayMy house was wired for ethernet with all the cables ending in a box in the basement. I wanted my router to be located in my family room so I ran an extra cable from the router location to the box in the basement. I then plugged that cable into the switch and also the other cables leading to various rooms in the house. Everything immediately went to work. I am very satisfied. In the photo the white cable comes from my router and the blue cables go to ethernet ports in various places in my house.

> 3 dayThe accompanying directions were not helpful. The connections were not marked for lan input. Just attached the input at random and the connected devices also at random and everything worked. No software or setup was needed. Not sure why there was an instruction folio.

16-04-2025Used to upgrade existing home Ethernet network for new higher speed fiber optic cable service. Working great at 200 Mb/sec on older CAT5e wired network.

> 3 dayI have 1 connection coming in to my office and added a server with 4 gigabit ethernet ports, on-top of my desktop. Has done, and is doing a great job. Speedtest.net shows I can get a top speed of up-to about 980Mbps on my 1G AT&T fiber connection (both upload and download). I find it interesting that my upload speed is often quite a bit higher than my download speed which shows that the switch is not getting in the way. This was good news for my new server to be able to achieve the throughput I need through the fiber connection. Just for fun I connected to a server in Poland and was able to get nearly 300Mbps download and over 600Mbps upload. A German server showed pretty similar results suggesting that the speed may be more related to traffic than my broadband connection. But I digress...
