Night Owl Security Camera Power Adapter with 4-Way Power Splitter

This one works great! I thought that I had to replace my security camaras but by replacing this the power adapterall the camaras started working fine.

I would never buy night owl products again but this is at least a bandaid until the whole thing quits entirely. I had to send the dvr back because of a horrible noise it was making. Got it back and it started doing it again. I wound up taking the cover off, removing the fan (which was the noisy culprit) and leaving the cover off so it didnt get hot. Then one of the 4 cameras stopped showing up but which one changed on a daily basis. I figured it had to be something in part of the wiring so replaced the 4 way splitter part and that didnt work so I switched the power adapter part and that turned out to be it. So our night owl system will live another day but Im just waiting for the day it dies completely so I can replace the whole system with something more reliable. It has helped us with multiple shoplifters but it just isnt solid enough to trust long term.

When my Night Owl camera system died, I assumed it was the DVR. I replaced it with no luck, then realized the camera power supply was dead. Ordered this and fixed the problem immediately. Well, at least now I have a spare DVR.

I was quite excited to know that I had received the items on time, my initial thought was obviously to try them out. Boy was I in for a bad treat. The products gave off multiple sparks during the multiple times that they were plugged into a power source. I thought the defect was on my end considering it’s a new item but sadly I was wrong, both cables sparked as soon they were plugged into any type of power source. Luckily I found out they were defective prior to any dangerous situations occurring.
