Great lens!

Love this lens. Ive been planning for one of these foro some time. I rented it for a shoot in New York for a week and bought it because I didnt want to be without it. Its plastic so you wont be hammering nails but its a great lens to have i your tool kit. I got this primarily for portrait use, as it was made for but its something nice to pull out of the bag for other uses. Ive shot a few frames with it ringside at a boxing match but found it shined with those in-between round, corner shots. Attached are a few samples of my photos with it. If you are into portraiture, buy this lens. If you have a crop sensor camera, your field of view will be 127.5mm so keep that in mind if youre shooting in a small space. If that is the case, I recommend either a 50mm f1.8. I heard the 60mm f2.8D is good but I have yet to shoot with it.

Lens was shipped in its display box and appears to have been dropped or damaged along the way based on the amount of box tape needed to seal the torn box. Lens itself was in a plastic carriage which also showed signs of damage.

Great Lens for price. Focus can be a little slow under trying conditions. Keeping the 85 on my camera for the main lens.

This lens takes incredibly clear pictures. I am very pleased with my purchase. I highly recommend this lens especially for portraits.

This lens has become my favorite now. Excellent low-light performance and tack sharp in most conditions. Im loving it each time I take it out for shooting.

Attached to my d600 I couldnt imagine a better lens or focal length. DXO mark scored this lens very high and I didnt need the extra f/stop so its a great deal.
