I own several lenses however this is my first f1.8 lens

Ottimo obiettivo da ritratti, ma non solo!!! Luminoso e nitido, aberra un pò a f1.8, perfetto a f2. Il risultato cambia anche in base alla reflex utilizzata. Messa a fuoco velocissima. Bokeh cremoso ed intenso. Non ha stabilizzatore immagini ma si gestisce con facilità. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo per coloro che volessero un obiettivo veloce (F1.8) senza spendere un patrimonio! Che dire, felicissima!

I bought this lens for my Nikon D7000 and it takes sharp pictures. The lens on the D7000 is 127mm good for when you want not to be too close .This lens is a good value for the price.

Everything is good..... But autofocus speed is little bit slow

Super lens, I know people always say that is great for portraits and is true, but I use it 90% for coverage my weddings all the time, not just portraits. For shootings is my horseback, beautiful boke, very sharp and always, always I shoot at 1.8

This is a very reasonably priced beautiful portrait lens.

Ive been a photography hobbyist for many years now. One of the things I like is purchasing new gear, especially lenses. This lens is one of my favorite lenses of all time!! Its a dream for portraits, which is when I use it. My kids are very young and Im enjoying the separation and bokeh this lens provides. The images turn out wonderfully warm and dreamy, with the areas in focus remaining amazingly sharp (to the point where zooming in on single eyelashes is possible consistently). It weighs just right on my D600. I love the focal length and the space it provides between me and my subject. I read many reviews and saw no practical reason why someone would spend more for the 1.4 or even the new 58mm 1.4, unless photography is your profession and you will use this focal length everyday and need something more bulletproof. All in all, I love it. If you want family pictures that will make everyones jaw drop, this is the lens that will do it for you.

Still experimenting the new toy, in terms of quality I think its a good investment, but still an expensive one, at least for me (350Pounds/423Euros).
