> 24 hourThis review is based on a comparison of the NF-A14 industrial 2000rpm model vs the NF-A14 standard 1500rpm pc version. I purchased this to see if I could eke out some better cooling performance at the cost of increased noise. Problem was is the type of noise this fan produces wasnt what I was expecting. I figured it would just be more air flow or wind noise but the motor itself is what is annoying. It buzzes at lower rpms and whines at speed. And the performance gained was marginal. Just really not worth it over the quiet pc version. To be fair to Noctua, they do have a disclaimer on their website about the noise of these fans, its just not the type of noise youd expect. Id recommend if performance is your only concern and you really dont mind loud fans, then skip these and grab the 3000rpm versions. Theyre even louder but theyll also cool much better.

> 24 hourI used these fans for the first time as replacements for the stock fans of the corsair hydro series water cooler. These fans are dead quiet, move the air, and are in a word SUPERB! If not the best fans out there they are darn close.

> 24 hourPurchased two for my NH-U14S cooler. Noctua customer service (Emanuel) was incredibly helpful and immediately shipped new 140mm fan clips for it free of charge.

> 24 hourExpensive, but work good. Better than any of the corsairs, be-quite!, or any other brand fan I have used. push more air and are dead silent.
