Noctua NF-S12A FLX, Premium Quiet Fan, 3-Pin (120mm, Brown)

Works as advertised, quiet, easy install, would buy more when needed.

I hesitated a little when I purchased this, because of the price and its color. However, as soon as I plug it in, I was very very happy with the performance. Probably the quietest fan Ive ever used and yet still has great airflow. Everything about the fan is great(from the product itself, the accessories that came with it, to the design of the box), I felt very satisfied. Would totally recommended to anyone that dont care a lot about it color scheme, the fan is suppose to be inside the case anyway.

Just got these and they are wonderfully quiet. I got two fans to replace the two loud fans that I had already. While I really like how quiet it is, I have notice some changes in temps. To be fair, I put on the Low-Noise adapter on it so it isnt running at the full RPMs it can be. That being said Im only seeing 3-4 degrees higher overall while being nearly silent at about 800 RPMs while my other fans that I replaced were extremely loud and ran at 1500-1600 RPMs. I will take that ratio and If I really get fed up with the 3-4 degrees temp difference I will take off those adapters. The overall temps for the CPU is at the high end under moderate load 40-45 degrees Celsius. A lot of temp change in the CPU comes from the hot graphics card right under the CPU. This is with i7-2600K 3.4Ghz CPU and a Radeon HD 6950 video card (this card runs really hot, even under light/idle use).

There are several resistors packaged as cables which come with this. No resisters gives you a fast fan which you can definitely hear. All the resisters together give you a slow fan which is completely silent. The right combination in between gives you a darn quiet fan which still moves a lot of air. Meanwhile, they provide a soft rubber where possible to minimize the vibrations travelling into the case. Very nice indeed.

Ugly, but effective. If you want to buy some low to mid speed fans, you cant go wrong with Noctuas warranty and specs.

I sometimes use Noctuas for replacement fans and they are generally quiet and the quality is good. 5 stars

For a cheap fan, its great. It was right in my price range, stays quiet and keeps everything nice and cool.
