NF-S12A has very unbalanced charateristic. This fan can make decent amount of air flow, but very weak air pressure. That means this fan is not suitable for envrionment with obstacles. Air flow of this fan is greatly weakened passing obstacles like radiator, heatsink, filter, and even mesh of PC case.

Noctua is the BEST. These are designed to move air in non static pressure scenarios. Most quiet fans I own....roughly 17db. Moves alot of air. And finally a noctua fan thats not ugly brown and tan.

I have this product installed as an exhaust fan with a very large noctua dual tower cooler close by. the cooler is only single fan so this exhaust fan does a great job expelling the air. The interior temp isn’t high to begin with (PC is in the basement). Very high air circulation in the case. I would definitely buy noctua fans for all PC builds.

Made this my new exhaust fan. Works great! Just as quiet as my older Noctua fans, but provides more cfm.

These fans move a lot of air and are super quiet. I have them running at 800rpm at idle and I can not hear them at all. At full ramp I hear the graphic card fans over anything else.

Bought this as an exhaust fan because I read thats the best application for this fan. Even above 1000 rpm I cant even tell its on. Yet it still moves a ton of air compared to most 120mm fans.

I was a bit skeptical, but have an AIR 540 and was annoyed by the stock corsair case fans and stock EVGA AIO cooler fans. Replaced them all with Noctua - the noise is very much tolerable. It went from that high-pitch whine to a low frequency air rush sound. Similar to a heating/cooling air vent in your home.

This fan is awesome. Moves the same amount of air as the stock Phanteks 120mm case fans from the P400 at a fraction of the noise level. At full speed they’re extremely quiet. Definitely will be picking up some more of these.
