Greater than one weekI was looking for a way to quite down the case fans in my pc, which I use in a small room. I switched out three case fans with the Noctuas and noticed a huge improvement. Installation was easy and the 4 pin design allows the mother board to keep speeds down when extra cooling is not needed. Even at higher speeds, the fans are still quiet. The main noise heard now is the hard drive.

Greater than one weekThe Noctua NF-S12A is a high-quality 4-pin PWM fan. I am using one as an intake fan in the front of my computer case. I like the fact that the fan comes with so many accessories. The fan comes with an extension cable, a cable splitter if you want to run two fans (at the same speed), and a low noise adapter to reduce the maximum speed from 1200 to 900 rpm. Not that I want to reduce the speed of this beauty.

Anti-Stall Knobs
The NF-S12A"s Anti-Stall Knobs reduce flow separation phenomena in medium to high impedance situations and thereby increase the fan"s stall margin. This means that the NF-S12A is even more versatile than its renowned predecessor and can achieve better performance on heatsinks and radiators.
